@lynskyrd78 Hey, thanks for the comment. Trust me, that was not an easy song to learn. Listen to anything the great Steve Gaines did, he is very difficult to copy. Steve is one of my all time favorites and I listen to his only solo album "One in the Sun" all the time. Just keep at it, that's how I learned it. Good Luck and Keep the Music Alive!

Slide doesn't start the song, it comes in around 53 seconds. When you hear the studio version, you're hearing three guitars coming in at different times. He has one backing track and starts the normal intro lead part. He didn't change to slide because he was already playing straight guitar. The kid has the spirit and love for Skynyrd. How many guitar players you ever see try this tune, not to mention, one his age?
