  • i believe they get the poison from a certain kind of ants. Anyway that is a very nice terrarium, and i love your frogs, hope they are doing well.

  • you do too use tap water you fuggin liar. and that probably why your frogs arent eating and are most likely dead by now.

  • @TiiiiiiiiiiiMBER I usually do not reply to these type of ASSHOLE comments but the mood I am in right now I will. Hey you keyboard tough guy if you don't know what the FUCK you are talking about shut your god damn mouth. I have a filtration system with three filters and it is better then any store bought system. At the time of making this video I used bottled water. If you have any more to say FUCK OFF and go suck your mothers tit.

  • @TiiiiiiiiiiiMBER troll much?

  • gahh thats so dangerous lol

  • dude thats pretty cool ur frogs are awesome

  • i have never had dart frogs but wouldnt the live plant give them a diease people tell me not to put live plants in my snakes cage???

  • you should make an update and you should also get a repti fogger i love mine.

  • do u use live plants

  • Where did you get your frogs

  • From a vendor at an expo.

  • I'm not here to attack you, but when your azureus reach sub-adult level please please please get them into an enclosure at least 18x18x18. Also, if you want to avoid seizures you need to dust your flies with rep-cal and herptivite.

I know a large distributor of dart frogs told you what you have will be adequate, but please realize they're after a quick buck and not the healthy and safety of your frogs.

Also, more hiding places (and leaf litter) wouldn't be a bad idea.

  • I was planning on upgrading the enclosure to something bigger. They are in a 12x12x12. So an 18x18x18 will be fine, no need to go bigger? I have been dusting the flies but only with calcium. Thanks for the advice I appreciate it. I would never take someone giving advice as slamming but when someone just criticizes I do not take that well. I love to learn everything I from every type of source I can.

  • It is nice seeing an "unhuge" enclosesure for once because mince isn't the biggest etheir...The only thing i would recommend is that u may need to add some plants, otherwise awsome setup! By the way, we have the same pump sprayer thingy. lol

  • Thanks!

  • my most FAV type of frogs!!!!! i want to get them too :)

u mentioned that they don't reproduce poison.... does that mean they don't have any poison right now?

  • They get the poison from what they eat in the wild.

  • oooh ok thats nice :)

    thank you!

  • Dont mention my grammar, im not american.

if you know better, fine go ahead.

Im done arguing with you, its not worth it.

  • I never said I know more. I do read about every single animal before I buy them and ask a bunch of questions about then. Don't you think I know they are from the rain forests of South America. The only reason I mentioned your grammar is so you could see how it feels to get blasted and it does not feels so good. I don't mind some one making suggestions at all but don't come here and bash me. Maybe they could use another hiding spot and some more foliage in the tank. I never thought about it.

  • I don't want to argue with you. I am not here to make enemies. I like shooting videos of my animals and the frogs are something new to me. Yeah I drew a blank when it came to their name in my video but I don't write the stuff down before I make a video. So in closing I would like to say THANKS for brings some stuff to my attention. If you have a suggestion say it in a tactful way that all. Like I said I am not here to make enemies.

    Thanks

    Jason

  • If you got some information about these frogs, you'll see they are rainforrest frogs, they dont need only an plant and coconut .

I see so many vivariums on youtube, and this one is the worst i saw.

But dont let them suffer, Atleast give them more hiding places

  • Oh yeah I purchased the setup and frogs from one of the biggest, if not the biggest Poison Dart Frog Breeders in the Country. He said this enclosure is fine but if I wanted to breed I would need something bigger. Which I have a plethora of tanks that are not in use and could easily be setup for them.

  • I know actually people that buy frogs first, than realise they need an tank for them.

This seems the same, if you dont even know the name of your frogs , you probally didnt look up any information about them.

  • Don't make assumptions! You don't know me!

  • i actually have poisen dart frogs my self, trivitata, tinctorius , auratus, and i ment your exibit, its way too poor, they need way more hiding places .

But i just cant stand people that think they actually think they doing an good job and they dont, and than blame people that give them advise or critisise them.

And setup for 65$ u said, thats seriously way to cheap, than u barly got plants or wood.

  • First of all it is POISON. I am happy for you that you have that many different species of dart frogs. I always take other peoples suggestions but it is the way you said it. I see someone with a setup that is not adequate for the animal and I will make suggestions on how they can make it better and not blast them. There is a much nicer approach.

  • frogs DO need heat, they dont life at 20 Celcius, they actually need 25-28 celcius.

Also, You need WAY more plants or wood or w/e.

This dendrobates azureus actually is that shy because they only have the coconut hut.

If you cant afford to have poisen dart frogs, dont get them.

Its an expensive thing to have, but it pays out when they breed.

  • They do life at 20 celcius, but they just dont like it, its way to cold for them, thats also the reason that they arent active

  • So here you are contradicting your previous statement. My frogs are very active and I have no problems at all with them. Thank you.

  • Suggestions are welcome, but don't come on here yelling. Do you know what the temperature of the room is? If I was to put a heat light on them the humidity would be to low and the temp would be to high. The plant that is in there provides enough coverage for them at there size maybe another one is not a bad idea. But this comment kills me "If you cant afford to have poisen dart frogs, dont get them." Do you know what my finances are?

  • If you think Poison Dart Frogs are expensive man you should see my cricket bill for my Dragons. Maybe my feeding bill for my Ball Pythons. What I am trying to say is tips and suggestions are always welcome but not when they come in the form of yelling, bashing or belittling. Thank you and have a nice day.

  • how much just would one cost and how big of an encloser

  • Some where between $35 - $50 depending on the size when you get it. If you picked a 12X12 exo terra terrarium that would be fine. Do you have any reptile expos where you live? You would probably be able to pickup a tank already setup for around $65.

  • those frogs are beutiful I really want blue ones but I have the yellow and black ones. Check out my channal if you like dart frogs.

  • Awesome! The color of those Poison Dart Frogs very very nice 5 badass *****

  • Thank You! They are awesome.

  • Thanks for the advise. I am not even sure what sex they are yet. I am still reading up on them to learn more about them. They will be getting a larger enclosure when I finish off the one room in my basement.

  • you might want to start dusting the food with supplements such as calcium, and herptivite also if u plan on breeding these guys id suggest a little larger of a tank around a 20 gallon

  • hey buddy long time no hear.5* on you'r video.the frogs are awesome looking.

  • Yeah with the holiday I have been busy but who hasn't? LOL Thanks! They are pretty cool and fairly easy to care for as long as you can get the proper food for them.

  • Omg that is sick!
