Yeah, like someone else said, the point of flag hippo is that there is no point - it creates speculation about what on earth it's all about, because it has no meaning, yet must mean something to exist, hence it's a really surreal moment.

It's genious because the comedy comes not from flag hippo itself, but the idea that you're trying to make logical sense out of something that's so illogical.
