The gun store near me has an HK mr556 in stock as well as a couple Noveskes. I can't decide which brand to buy. I'd get both if I had the funds, but I don't.

I'll stick with my LMT M4 for HD/SHTF, and my HK SL8 for range blasting.
While not the prettiest of rifles, my SL8 was only a 1/3 the price of this rifle. That and it uses essentially the same basic gas piston design as the MR-556 in this video.....
So why would I pay 3,000 for a dramatic increase in bolt/barrel life expectancy in a semi which will probably not have heat issues in the first place? When the milspec standard is 25,000 rounds on an M4 which I can build for 800-1,000. And when did upper to lower fit have any influence on accuracy.
Bring the price under control and I might think about it, untill then I can get a true custom rifle for the same money.

@Plur307 It won't be cheap. MSRP is $2,995, which is similar to the prices for a SCAR or ACR. They will have an upper as a stand alone item so you can upgrade your AR lower.
Yeah it still is an HK. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. But if I remember correctly I have seen 416 uppers advertised at $4000 or more. That is just crazy.
@SketchySpartan It is an HK made lower with their own take down pins but it is built to Mil-Spec so you can swap the stock and grip with with any standard aftermarket ones.

The extended rail is good for this rifle with it's 16.5 inch barrel config, especially if you have long arms or a bigger frame!
