  • I miss the feeling of playing ps2 games on crappy tv's. That feeling that's in all of us as a kid or adult. Now today its all 1337 this N00b that, remember when games actually had meaning instead of, "3 seconds of intense singleplayer" to qoute one video.

  • i was a kid when i saw this game played by my bro, looked great then and now it's HD'd :D

  • i love PS2

  • They don't make FPS like this anymore it's all about multiplayer which is good but what about a good story campaign?

  • dosent the opening scene remind you of the opening of the peleliu opening in cod waw? cod totally copied it

  • good old times ;)

  • Not nearly as good as the AA version, but still a great mission :)

  • NOSTALGIA

  • lol i remember thinking how amazing these graphics were

  • @Youbemadlol

They have it's on the 2010 version

  • Comment removed

  • this is like cod finest hour

  • @chivasboy451 Yes, that is true

  • One of the best games I ever owned.

  • 1.Story

    2.Gameplay

    3.Graphic

That was My opinion for PS2 game,,,,,

  • I would love to have a remake of this game or a WW2 game unlike Cod, but something more involved with WW2 such as the unread battles like Juno, Omaha,etc..

  • People can not say this is not realistic. Ok, it may not be as realistic nowdays compared to the current MWF 3, but when this came out, it was seen as a break through for gaming and graphics.

  • @jamesthemod This won't be the first time I've said this, but neither of those game series have ever even come within spitting distance of "realistic". Not even close.

Still, Frontline is a damn good game. It's definitely the best WWII game on the PS2.

  • @jamesthemod

I don't think it's meant to be, if you want realism, play a simulator.

  • TO MICHEAL!

  • this level reminds me of saving private ryan

  • @wwefreak66 That's because Steven Spielberg directed this game too.

  • geez i havent played or seen this game in ages i only just realised how bad the graphics were

  • Is'nt there only one pill box on the actual omaha beach?

  • "BANDIT, 9 0'CLOCK, HEADS DOWN!"

    "Oooh, is that a penny?"

  • Good game on ps2, but overrated since it had nothing for for shooters. PC version was miles better. Oh and the jump from ps1 to ps2 is why it got great scores. But after a few months it was already old. It came out on cube and Xbox, and were cleaner running ports, but got way lower scores. It aged badly. It's like a bad version of Cod1.

Medal of honor 1 on ps1 now that's a classic.

  • @oasisbeyond What PC version? Frontline never got a PC port. You must be thinking of Allied Assault, a completely different game made by a completely different developer. Personally, I thought Frontline was a lot better than Allied Assault. Frontline didn't have all of the cookie-cutter bullshit (infinitely respawning enemies, heavy scripting) that was pretty much introduced in AA and bled into this generation.

The PS2 has plenty of shooters, too. You just have to look for them.

  • @spicyechidna94 There are PS2 shooters, yes. Like Time Splitters: FP. I played the shit out of that game for like 2 years until my second PS2 broke when I was about 10 :(

  • @spicyechidna94 yes man 100% agree !

but i like of course AA too

  • Man, this was a good game when it first came out! I had a lot of good memories playing it on my PS2. But now that I play COD and other good games of today, when I came back to play this, it seemed like absolute shit. That's just my opinion of it but, I can't speak for others.

  • @goldacid15 I'd honestly say that Frontline is much better than that series. Frontline at least gives the player some degree of freedom in how to play the game.

But don't mind me, I'm just a nostalgic gamer. I simply prefer games from the past. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 I definitely think that Frontline is a great game. If I had to rate my top favorite PS2 games, Frontline would be first place. I guess I've sort of been brainwashed by newer games that graphics and realism make a game better and more enjoyable. But, now that I think about it Frontline feels much more natural and authentic once I had gotten used to playing it again ( although it took awhile).

  • @goldacid15 Yes, newer games can do that to you. Personally, that feeling wore of in 2009 for me when I realized that apart from graphics, current-generation games were worse in almost every aspect than last-generation games.

These days, games are trying way too hard to be movies when they should just be games. If anything, games have gotten less realistic than they used to be, with regenerating health and ridiculous (although they are labeled as "serious") stories.

  • i member days i always used to play this :L

  • Most Memorable Game Ever Made, Dont Ask Why.. It Just Is

  • I dont understand why this game is rated so good-I was SO bored playing it. I mean for its time its not bad but there are so many better games than this-hell i thought vietcong purple haze was better than this and its rated half as good :/

  • @tomjoesillyshow Frontline is not a perfect game, but I still love it. It serves its purpose, providing a fun, objective-based shooter with good level design and a few stand-out moments.

Even so, I agree with the review issue. While I think Frontline got the scores it deserved, a lot of good games get poor reviews because they deviate from the norm and are not major, "proven" brands. That is wrong on several levels.

  • @spicyechidna94 I completley agree-like have you ever played conflict vietnam? Its an alright game single player but if you play 2 player campaign with a friends it becomes comparable to games like COD and BBC even though its a PS2 game. Its all around amazing and can be hilarious because of the glitches. Hoenstly i would recommend that game to anyone who enjoys a war style shooting game but make sure you do it 2 player-it makes it that much more epic :D

  • @tomjoesillyshow I've never played Conflict: Vietnam, but from what I've seen it looks like a solid game. I believe it got terrible review scores, but it looks fun to me. Maybe I'll try it someday.

Frontline is really glitchy, too, but in a good way. However, it got really good review scores. It's a good game but at the same time it's just another case of the blatant double-standard critics have. The household name always wins while the lesser-known games are buried under bad reviews.

  • @spicyechidna94 Yeah its a shame that reputation overtake quality when it comes to reviews. But I got so bored of frontline I didnt finish it because I swithec to playing a different game. The main problem with it is that theres no real free roam-you have no choice how you play it and worst of all theres no online/2 player which really makes games less fun. no point gaming alone in my eyes :P

  • @tomjoesillyshow I have to disagree with you on that one. Some games are best played alone. RPGs and games like Half-Life would be ruined with multiplayer. When another player is added, the atmosphere in the game is always damaged. Frontline could work with two players, but it would ruin the atmosphere.

There is a decent amount of choice in the way Frontline is played, but for the most part, it is just an old-school "shoot everything between Point A and Point B" shooter. It's designed that way.

  • @spicyechidna94 what i like about this game is that its based one like history you know thats cool

  • omg i nostalgia'd

  • Comment removed

  • @ariya123321 Congratulations. You know the "F" word and how to use Caps Lock. I'm sure you're parents are so proud. Have a cookie.

  • @spicyechidna94 where are the cookies? i cant see them pls i like cookies :)

  • @ariya123321 It doesn't matter. You've won the internet already.

  • @spicyechidna94 Have I !? Wooa awesome .. do I get any Price...?

  • wow what's with all the faggs hating on the new MOH game. It was great i loved it and i hate call of duty. The leaning system was insane like never been done before and it was realistic in its own way i play ARMA II and other simms and i thought they did a good job so yeah you guys gotta lighten up a little and stop hating so much.

  • @WillJamesKerr I always know when people don't have a f***ing clue what they are talking about when they say that games with regenerating health and weapons that have practically no recoil are "realistic". MoH 2010 is about as realistic as Sonic the Hedgehog.

I may be a "fag", but at least I'm not a homophobic idiot who thinks that MoH 2010 is any different from the masses of cookie-cutter arcade shooters flooding the market.

  • @spicyechidna94

HELLO, Do I get a price?

  • @ariya123321 The thing is, where I'm from, being an ignorant asshole is looked down upon. The "prize" is usually a swift kick in the ass, not cookies.

So, by all means, continue your slightly unhealthy fetish of wishing your enemies to have sex with farmyard animals and continue on your merry way. I really don't care.

  • @spicyechidna94 Wooa Chill dude wtH is wrong with u.. :O

  • @ariya123321 I'm not angry. It's just that it is polite to agree to disagree on one's opinion rather than tell that person to fuck a sheep, much like you did.

  • @spicyechidna94 ooh so thats what it all about hmm.. well sorry then please DONT go an 'F' A sheep :D

  • @ariya123321 It's okay. Have a nice day. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 oo finally by the way ur vid was great ;)

  • @spicyechidna94 I didnt say it was realistic i said it was realistic in its own way. Have you ever played ARMA II that's about as realistic as a games going to get especially when you get the ACE mod. I just stated that i thought it was a good game. Playing it on hardcore was fun not having any HUD unless you ask for it and having to play without hardly being hit. Im not homophobic at all mate dont findt from all the COD remakes but i found it enjoyable. You kids really need to calm down.

  • @WillJamesKerr "You kids"? Okay, man. I was just calling you out on your bluff when you said that the people who knock MoH 2010 are "fags". I'm not the only fan of the MoH series that thought the latest installment was a bastardization. "Realistic" or not, MoH 2010 was a glitchy mess of a game that is an insult to fans of the original.

I really don't care if you like MoH 2010 or not. That's your right. Just don't insult people when their opinion doesn't line up with yours.

  • my first game i ever played on ps2.... epic fun times :D

  • wht better medal of honor or call of duty?

  • @coheed544 The older Medal of Honor games. You should avoid the latest installment like the plague, though.

  • @coheed544 i think MoH 2010 is better

  • @LBPproWatcher Medal of Honor is probably the better series, but MoH 2010 is a piece of shit that disgraces the MoH name. It's just a boring overly-scripted shooter that punishes the player for playing the game his own way.

It's just another attempt by EA to cash in on the SERIOUS HARDCORE MILITARY SHOOTER craze that has swept the industry and nothing more. MoH 2010 is one of the worst games I've played this generation, if not THE worst.

  • @spicyechidna94 hmmm, maybe i trust you

  • @LBPproWatcher It's the truth. That entire game is just a cash-in of the latest trend. EA promised to "bring the series back to its roots", but in reality they just made MoH 2010 like every other game on the market, complete with the same "follow orders like a dog and don't deviate from the linear path" gameplay and that terrible regenerative health system.

So, not only did EA lie out of their ass to their fans, but they also turned to once-great MoH series in to a cookie-cutter arcade shooter.

  • Old ww2 games for the ps2, xbox etc where the best games. I like the new Call of Duty games. But I prefer old ww2 games.

  • Well if you want my opinion Far Cry is a good game but somehow i find this game much better , probably my favorite fps ever. You've got a nice taste for games keep it up.

  • @The7rocky7 Thanks. I try to play a wide variety of games and give some of the lesser-known games a chance. :D

  • thumbs up if moh frontline was you very 1st fps game

  • my game broke

  • Personally I like the Gamecube version better. Although Halo 4 and MW3 are coming out, my friends and I still play 4 player in Medal Of Honor Frontline every once and awhile.

  • @nightral8I4 I'd venture to say that even today, Frontline is far better than those two games will ever hope to be.

  • Friend sold me this today, time for nostalgia!

  • @medalofhonor74747474 I always try to put on a show for my viewers. I hate videos where the player just stands idly by while something onscreen happens. It shows that the creator of the video didn't put in very much thought into it. It takes away from the immersion.

  • This was definitely the best WWII game I have ever played. The music was so fitting and not any heroic bullshit as in other WWII games. This also had awesome atmosphere, and somehow... touching.

  • @goldbullet50 To be honest, I thought Frontline's music was extremely heroic. It was still very fitting, though.

I mean, this is game where one man stands up to the entire German military, after all. The music damn well better be heroic.

  • damn... how did you get the mw3 beta??

  • @manny24lal Thankfully, I did not, because if I did, I would probably hate it just as much if not more so than its terrible predecessors.

If your sarcasm is directed to the games graphics, which it probably is, then you should find another video to watch. Frontline came out almost nine years ago; it obviously doesn't have graphics comparable to today's games. The gameplay is the only thing that matters, anyways.

  • I just finished this (PS2 version) and it was awesome game! Great soundworld and level design. This is probably one of my favourite WWII games. Next I'm gonna get Medal Of Honour: European Assault for PS2 since I know where I can get it cheaply...local gamestore. Medal Of Honour...great WWII gameseries.

  • @lahmarko i remember my old ps2 games, Call of Duty 2 big red one, Medal of honor frontlines, Medal of honor european assault, Medal of honor Rising Sun, Call of Duty 3, good times......

  • @TheCurlyGang rite <3

  • has one of my fave quotations at the beggining, and I love how u acted when u had nothign to do. like shooting at the bunkers and then looking back to your commanding officer. lol, that made it more realistic

  • this game is still more important than any cod

  • better then cod any day :/

  • wow thats good game

  • Chill

This guys just a troll, he goes on all the moh vids and comments like this, just leave his alone so he dosn't gain his lulz.

  • this game is very old. but it looks kinda cool.

  • @MrDahlas I assure you, it's very cool. Frontline is an objective-based shooter that focuses mainly on undercover missions deep behind enemy lines. It is very different than most shooters on the market today.

The concept is old-school, but the game itself is not what I would classify as "old". The Sega Genesis is old; this game is not. I highly recommend this game. Just be aware that it won't appeal to everyone.

  • Im trying to decide wich MOH game to buy.. I had some before some jerk gave it away. Any input or opinions would help so much! thanks!

    P.s. i would prefer multi-player

  • @JuLez15mf If multiplayer is your thing, Allied Assault is probably the way to go.

Of course, most of the early Medal of Honor games are excellent single player experiences, which is what the series was built for in the first place. Multiplayer wasn't an important part of the Medal of Honor series until this console generation.

  • u cant ads? this is gay bro

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Excuse me? Was that English? I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Yes, I can add. No, there are not any ads on this video as far as I can tell.

Next time, try speaking plain English when you want to insult someone. Of course, that will likely be too much for a slow-witted 15-year-old homophobe like yourself. It's almost as if that saying everything you don't like is "gay" will somehow buff up your nonexistent masculinity or something.

  • @spicyechidna94 we got a hardass here dont we? ads = AIM DOWN SIGHTS u dumbfuck

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters This is coming from a dipshit who can't even spell "you"? Okay, man, if it helps you sleep at night. I don't care. How in the hell am I supposed to know what "ads" means? Try spelling it out next time. I can't read your mind. Not that there is much in their to begin with, though.

No, you can't use iron sights in this game, but it really doesn't harm the game. This game is still better than the overly-scripted nonsense that passes for "games" these days.

  • @spicyechidna94 its on the games dumb ass! sight of hand pro is faster ads! YOU have nothing else to do but bother the shit out of me do you?

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters What game? What on earth are you talking about?

I'm bothering you? I'm sorry, I must have have neglected to mention that no one forced you to watch this video or leave a comment. You're wasting my time as well. I just reply back because I find your comments highly amusing, but I should be studying for an exam right now. On a positive note, you can indeed spell "you". I am impressed. You win a gold star! :D

  • @spicyechidna94 He's confusing Medal of Honor with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters No, ADS = Aim Down Sights, you need to capitalise your acronyms or else people will either not understand you or get the wrong end of the stick. Also, the original Call of Duty was not released until a year after this game - ADS was mostly unheard of in this sub-genre until then.

  • @phocjame That is what confused me. The letters "ads" look like either like the abbreviation for advertisements or a misspelling of "adds". If he had used capitalization I would likely have understood.

I have a feeling this kid has never played Frontline. Evidently, the lack of "realism" in this game really bothers him. Not that today's shooters are any more realistic.

  • @phocjame like i give a fuck

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters You obviously do, or else you wouldn't respond. You seem to have made a logical error.

  • @phocjame you have nothing else better to do but to bug the hell out of me. get a life and leave me alone

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Ironic troll is ironic.

  • @phocjame speak some words that Everyone will understand you british fuck

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Oh, I am terribly sorry. Is my vocabulary too large for you to comprehend?

  • @phocjame the damn Uk is a logical error

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters I have an idea. Since you evidently care so little about everything, why don't you just leave instead of trying to insult everyone who questions your "logic", or lack of thereof? This may shock you, but your "input" isn't exactly insightful. If I'm annoying you, feel free to leave anytime. Otherwise, shut up and watch the damn video.

Seeing as all you seem to do is go on Frontline videos and insult the game, I would suggest you try to get a life yourself.

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Ha.

    Hahahaha.

    Haha.

    Ha.

    Go back to school.

  • @phocjame i am in school u 40 year old virgin

  • And at 15, you should have learned how to properly communicate using English by now.

  • @phocjame can you block people?

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Not on this video. That's MY privilege.

You know, you could just leave the video. That would be nice.

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Sure you can, but it'll do you fuck all good as far as this video is concerned.

  • @phocjame i hate the damn uk. u left a bad impression on the uk bc of your mouth. u have alot to learn until u know how to function in real life society

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters My mouth? Mate, I don't think you realise this, but we're on Youtube - a virtual forum, there is no mouth here with which to insult you.

Anyway, if attacking trolls and pointing out incorrect use of the English language is leaving a bad impression on the UK, then so fucking be it.

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters I don't see why the UK would give a fuck about the opinions of an incompetent American fifteen year old anyway...

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Seriously, you're making Americans look bad with your comments. I'm embarrassed to be your countryman. Chances are, if you are an American, someone in your family is from the United Kingdom.

For God's sake, get a life. This entire "argument" you have just ignored points completely and abused straw-man tactics rather than come up with a decent comeback. That's pretty pathetic. Next time, think before "adding" to the comments section. No one cares what you think.

  • @spicyechidna94 is everyone in the uk a bitch like u? im done talkin to u and if u reply it shows how ignorant you are for trying to talk shit to someone tht is proble 25 years younger than u

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters I'm 16 years old, man. I'm also an American, so not only are you an ignorant xenophobe, but you can't read, either. Congratulations.

You're done talking with me? Good. I lose brain cells just by talking to morons like you. I'm not going to lose sleep over your absence.

  • @phocjame It's futile to argue with him, man. The kid is just bored and has nothing better to do at the moment. He probably enjoys being objective for the sake of being objective. It's not worth the time and effort to reply back unless you're highly amused with his lame comebacks like I am.

Please don't assume that all Americans are like that. Not all of us are morons.

  • @spicyechidna94 Don't worry, I know a troll when I see one. I just feel like engaging him.

  • @phocjame Oh, okay. By all means, continue. :D

  • @ih8tegatorh8ters Despite all the hate you got I can clearify on this: the ps3 version of Frontlines that came with MOH 2010 has iron sights added to the game.

  • @S0ryiu That hate was pretty deserved, man. The dumbass kid hates this version of the game solely because it doesn't have iron sights. He has probably never even fired a real gun before but he still complains about Frontline's lack of realism. Somehow, that makes this game "gay".

If I sound impatient around ignorant current-generation gamers it's because I am. I'm sorry, I've just witnessed too much ignorance to tolerate in my time on this site.

  • @spicyechidna94 Trust me, anyone who spends more than ten minutes o here will know that many folk are ignorant. But I get the vibe that Ih8tegatorh8ters was stating legitimate dissapointment that somthing he grew used to was not in a game that is interesting. (in my mind he worded it wrong.. ) the rest of the arguing comes from him getting defensive. just my observation... anyway, as I had stated, if he really wants to play this with ironsights, it's on the ps3 one.

  • @S0ryiu This is true. However, my gut tells me that the kid wasn't so much legitimately disappointed at the lack of iron sights as he was annoyed that Frontline doesn't have the same conventions as current-generation shooters. I took a look at his channel to see what games he plays and it is he doesn't touch any game older than about 2010.

I seriously doubt he would play this game if it did have iron sights. Many current-generation gamers wouldn't be caught dead playing this game.

  • @spicyechidna94 Well that's stupid, the golden lion missions are the best map layouts I have ever seen in a game. (though I wish I had gotten the xbox version instead of the ps2 one... it has multiplayer with the old lady playable.)

  • @S0ryiu I agree, but that's how a lot of current-generation gamers are. They care more about graphics, multiplayer and faux-realism than good gameplay and level design. Today's games consist of a lot of generic, gritty military shooters with practically on-the-rails gameplay and too much scripting, meaning that they are completely different than games such as Frontline, yet today's gamers expect all games to be the same regardless of age.

  • @spicyechidna94 I never understood that, I find that the more open a game is the better (probably why I consider Far Cry 2004 on pc the best FPS ever) yeah... then again I saw a video where kids were bashing how bad wolfenstein 3d looks comparing it to COD 4 (why?)...

  • @S0ryiu My guess is because Wolfenstein 3D looks utterly primitive for an FPS these days and a lot of kids are scared of pixelly graphics. I mean, they aren't even comparable games in terms of mechanics.

There is certainly a place for linear shooters like Frontline, but today too many FPS games have very limited level design. Open games have more freedom. I'll have to try Far Cry someday. My PC is not very good for playing games.

  • @spicyechidna94 the only warning I have about Far cry is that the story is realy stupid and the AI has a bit better aim than they should. Since the game favors stealth and ambushes over rambo heroics it kinda balances out. (also despite being made by the guys who went on to make crysis, it's not a graphics powerhouse.. even by 2004 standards.)

  • @S0ryiu Oh, that's okay. I don't mind dumb stories and stupid enemies. It sounds like an interesting game. If I ever see it I'll buy it. :D

  • exelent game

  • after a while i noticed that all the germans had the same heads LOL they all looked like retards xD

  • this is the best game I ever played

  • not to bad at this game.

  • Guy with the full auto M1 at 5:50, on the far right :D

  • @meepo15 think that's actually a BAR

  • @simony999 No, that is definitely an M1 Garand. There is only one instance in the entire game when the player encounters an NPC with a BAR and he dies before he is able to fire the weapon.

  • These first MOH games were the best. the campaign, everything. I have played ops,MW2 and world of war but whenever i want a good game that's damn fun to play i always go back to front line. I wish more people still played this game

  • Guys it isn't about the game its about the People who died! Remember that.

  • @LondonMidlandCity There is definitely some truth to that. However, it's worth noting that this game is quite good. One could say that all games based on war are disrespectful towards veterans, but that doesn't change the fact that Frontline is damn fun to play.

Even so, I have utmost respect for those who served in WWII. Both of my grandfathers served during the war and I'm extremely lucky that they came home alive. Many soldiers did not. May God rest their souls.

  • @spicyechidna94 All MOH games (even the modern day one) are made in cooperation with the veterans society of America

  • @S0ryiu That's nice to know.

  • I would play this level again and again for hours on end. Loved it so much.

  • i love the sound when you reload the rifle

  • the only thing I didn't like about this game is that you were kinda the only person on the beach except for like 4 others.

  • God I remember playing this part! I was a just a little girl! I remember how much I loved this part & the whole game as well. It's one my favorite FPS for the PS2.

    By the way,

In ten years, all of you who say PS2 graphics suck now will say the same for the PS3 graphics.

Come on people, it was 2002. This was excellent then!

  • @Queenofgames I totally agree. People don't seem to understand that graphics don't make a game good or not. It's mostly the younger generation of gamers, but I still see quite a few older gamers judging games based on their graphics.

Perhaps it's because I grew up on the Genesis and the Saturn, but I've learned to love pixelly games. I don't if they aren't in HD; the gameplay is the only thing that matters. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 I actually prefer the last gen for games. More things that run at 60fps and I think some things look more realistic, on the right tv that is. HD gaming has become uber shiny and filled with far too many special effects for my liking.

Not played Frontline, might have to give it a pop.

  • @volkte37 I totally agree. I prefer games that run at 60 frames per second. Frontline has a dark, gritty look to it that looks great at a high framerate and in standard resolution. You're right, newer games look "shiny" and have lower framerates to make them more cinematic, but I think games should stop trying to be movies.

Metal Gear Solid 2 looks better than many PS3 games. Why? Simply because it runs at 60 FPS and has great art direction.

  • @spicyechidna94 I really love the visuals in MGS2. Along with the frame rate, thge lighting is sublime. Lovely hues of blue for morning part and it goes all lovely and reddish as the time ticks on. So many PS2, and last gen games have amazing lighting. Now it is all OTT bloom lighting which is always oversaturated.

A really interesting one though, is Gran Turismo 3 and GT4. I think GT3 looks miles better as GT4 looks more 'realistic', very grey. GT3 is full of colour.

  • @volkte37 Color definitely plays a major part. In terms of textures and numbers of polygons onscreen at once, the current-generation consoles destroy the PS2, but everything is grey and bland. Even the low-polygon PS2 GTA games burst with color. Hell, Dreamcast games still look a lot more exciting than the current generation.

Now, don't get me wrong, I prefer gameplay over graphics any day, but there is just something really boring about the visual styles of today's games.

  • @spicyechidna94 Absolutely bud, gameplay is indeed paramount as I have reminded now that I picked up another SNES recently. It is nice to find gamers that can appreciate a game for its qualities and also understand that HD does not mean something looks better. High polygon counts and 1080p do not mean a game automatically looks amazing.

  • @volkte37 Thanks, same to you. I bought a Dreamcast just this Saturday and I was blown away by how much fun I had with the two games I purchased alongside it. Crazy Taxi and Soul Calibur have aged remarkably well, even though they are about twelve years old. Graphics and HD mean nothing if the game isn't fun.

I just try to take everything for what it is. I don't care how blocky or pixellated a game looks; if it's fun, it wins in my book. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 I know where you're coming from, to me "good graphics" are based on the atmosphere they give, not how close to real life it is, the old graphics just had better atmosphere

  • @joezetank I completely agree. Games like Medal of Honor, Metal Gear Solid, Half-Life and Unreal all look extremely pixelly these days, but the atmosphere they have is fantastic.

It is entirely possible for current-generation games to have good atmosphere. Of course, most of them don't, because they're too busy trying to look like every other cookie-cutter game on the market these days to get sales. Great graphics mean nothing if the gameplay and atmosphere are uninspired.

  • in the corner where you go for the enginer, there is a M1 thompson

  • i forgot how hard it was to aim at the bunkers damn i loved this game but i moved on but i will always remember this game and it shows how far first person shooters have evolved

  • @crbbatista Oh, definitely. Shooters have evolved since Frontline, but to be honest, I don't think they have done so for the better.

  • its better than black ops cos its 100% true

  • @MrDrunkman10 How do we know if Black didn't happen they were black operations?

  • @mydogkoda I wouldn't be too sad if that game never happened. Maybe we would get more than half-assed interactive movies these days if that game series didn't exist.

  • Clear the raft, 30 seconds!! Clear the raft, 10 seconds!! ahhh, good times.

  • so similar to Saving Private Ryan its scary....

  • @13saxman There's a reason for that. The Medal of Honor series was created Steven Speilberg, the same man who directed Saving Private Ryan. It's essentially the spiritual successor to Saving Private Ryan.

  • i got it for 9 bucks

  • also i will not keep having this discusion unless u have a GOOD explaination on how ps2 is better than..at least ps3

  • haha ps2

  • @xxdragonslayorxx Yes, it's a PS2 game. That doesn't matter, though, because unlike the current generation of consoles, the PS2 has a massive library of excellent games that put gameplay before graphics. The PS2 may be old, but it's still better than anything the current generation has in terms of gameplay. PS2 games will always be great, in my opinion. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 well ur just askin for thumbs up off a load of people that cant afford anything better...i understand if u have bought an xbox or ps3 and then gave them back because of ps2 being better(ROFL)....but otherwise i think its just a load of (ppl on a buget)

  • @xxdragonslayorxx I'm sorry, but that's bullshit. I happen to own a PS3 and at I one point I owned a 360 as well, yet I still think the PS2 is better than both systems combined in terms of software. I'm not on a budget or asking for a thumbs up; I'm just not a graphics whore. In terms of gameplay, the PS2's games destroy the glorified cutscenes that are considered "games" these days.

I own not one but two PS2 consoles and don't have a regret in the world about buying them.

  • @spicyechidna94 No. That, is bull...and im not mad into graphics? i just think like why the fuck wont u buy a
