@Xoma73 it CAN shoot in full 60/50p (NTSC/PAL - 28mbps) but why would you do it? I prefer 24p almost always over 60p - it just looks more cinematic. 60p is just an option for slow motion or sport.

i you really love color clarity use Zeiss lenses, more, but worth every cent.have used Hasselblad, Canon and Nikkor lenses with great success, cant wait for the higher res and 60p

Wish this had a touch screen. It makes focusing on the 5N (manual and auto) so much better than on the 7. Touch select focus point and touch magnification (along with touch tracking) are so useful.

My granduncle and great grandfather designed & built cameras for the world to us.

So, I think I know a little bit more than most. I teaches many pros.

Currently, Sony has very few lenses, most are made for beginners at F5.6 or higher.

The wirelessly radio flash & flash companies do not support Sony's best hotshoe mount.

Sony do not have program to do tethered on this camera while Canon, Hasselblad, Leica, Nikon and Olympus all have them.

My only quibble is the price, lack of the NEX-5n's touch screen (it can be turned off, so why not have it), and no GPS. The lenses are coming (5 manufacturers, including Sony). It's the best camera to date. Nikon and Canon have some catching up to do.

With regard to the dust at 0:34 Have you looked at the environment? Admittedly it was a bit sloppy of whoever made the vid but we all know dust bunnies happen and if you're in a desert it's gonna happen a lot. Stop picking holes in pixels and enjoy the camera for what it is.

Samsung's 20.3 megapixel NX200 compact interchangeable lens camera looks very similar to the NEX-7. I may have to give it a try since Sony doesn't seem interested in addressing the overheating issue on my NEX-5.

you are correct. Sensor dust clear at :34. This raises a question: Do mirrorless cameras expose the sensor more than d-slrs (i.e., more prone to sensor shmutz)?

@DavidVogt well not really....eventhough its so powerfull even better compare to some nikon or canon cameras.....its still pretty much more into compact cameras, why?

1. compact cameras usually have lower battery power compare to DSLR (Especially if DSLR with battery grips)

2. Viewfinder.....im still not sure about electronic viewfinder

3. Canon and Nikon still have variety of lens (even you can use the adapter, still many things are different)

4. The manual system or the flexibility

Excellent video! Where can I get more detailed information about the camera? Is that a standard hot shoe? I'm curious how the camera handles heat. I was filming an astronaut giving a speech at a NASA Tweetup with my NEX-5, and it overheated and shut down. This was in an air-conditioned building. The same thing happened recently while filming a haboob (dust storm) here in Phoenix for a local news station. Other than the heat issue I am very impressed with the NEX line.
