Thanks Willie Horton or this putz might have been our president...Mass. needs to finally enact into law the DEATH PENALTY! Those liberal weinies will never do it, that's why the people of Mass., myself included, always vote for a Republican governor so someone sane is in charge! Liberals are going to bankrupt and ruin that state.
Well, maybe when you have children of your own with braces, you can't afford them because half of your husbands paycheck goes to the Federal Goverment.
No, he wasn't. He was so naive about foreign policy that Democrat Les Aspin told him to get educated. He only got the nomination in the first place because his biggest primary opponent after Gary Hart imploded was Jesse Jackson.
He didn't understand anything about America or the fact that you cannot tax yourself into prosperity.

Yep. Every state needs a governor who frees a first-degree murderer who then rapes a woman while on furlough while the guy who released him opposes the death penalty and the private ownership of firearms. Yep, you gotta be proud!!
I'm talking about Governor Dukakis letting Willie Horton on a furlough who raped Angela Barnes, then fiance' and later wife of Clifford Barnes. Dukakis also opposed the death penalty (it's what killed him in the 2nd debate w/Bush) AND he opposed the rights of individual citizens to own guns to protect themselves.
To top it off: he continued to fight FOR the furlough program AFTER Horton had escaped.
Dude, the death penalty is aweful. Not only does it murder the innocent, but as tax payers, you count as murderers too. Oh, and lets be fair, the lowest crime rates are in areas without the death penalty, not with. Another fact: Him commiting another crime was most likely due to the prison he was in. If he was in a better prison, he probably wouldn't have raped.
Who innocent did he fry? And he hasn't done that as President, so I don't know what eight years you're talking about. He was only governor of Texas for a little less than six. He hasn't 'fried' anyone on death row, which is a state-by-state basis.
So whom specifically did he fry and what proof do you have that person was innocent other than an anti-Death Penalty group says he/she was?

Say it once, say it again: it all starts with meeting and talking to voters. Yes, television has massive effect on people, but making a connection with voters on an individual basis is where it all starts. Know your precinct, its that simple. Go Michael, talk, and repeat. Voters, get involved.
I don't think that neither Senator Hart nor Governor Dukakis would've got the Democratic nomination, if only charismatic New York Governor Mario Cuomo threw his hat into the ring. Cuomo was the only candidate capable of snatching the nomination from both, he gave that eloquent speech to the convention in San Francisco in 84 'Shining city of hill' et al. The same could also be said with republican supporters backing whoever they choose -
... altho, if you look at what happened to the Democrat vote in 2000 and 2004, many more left leaning/liberal Democrats ended up backing ppl like Ralph Nader and the Greens and the Civil Libertarians - which no doubt, costed the election for both Gore and Kerry. The Republicans were split in 92 between GHW Bush and Ross Perot, easing the electoral college winning margin to Governor Clinton - winning Montana and Georgia for instance!?

Two words -- WHO CARES?!?!? Dukakis is an idiot and didn't know how to run a state. He's suited for teaching...Gov. Romoney did a great job!

All we need know b4 the Nov. elections:
1. Bush, Cheney, Rice are ex-petro corp execs.
2. They lied to propel us into war in Iraq where lay $5 trillion in oil & gas reserves.
3. Under U.S. pressure the Iraqi constitution is being revised to give control of oil & gas to foreign (i.e., U.S. interests).
4. B4 Bush stole the 2k election gas @ the pump was 99 cents per gallon. Today, $4.+.
5. Oil conglomerates now record the largest multi-billion-dollar profits in history.
Vote Democratic.

I see. Why don't you tell Joey Fournier, the 19-year old gas station attendant that Horton killed how 'awful' death is?
Horton was a criminal BEFORE he went in jail. He got out and raped a woman and beat her fiance'.
And now you want to blame the system?
Sounds like you'd have loved Dukakis. And you can cite any OBJECTIVE DATA that says crime is lower in non-death penalty areas?
And if it is, what makes you think it isn't other factors?

Sounds like Lee Atwater is your God

You do not believe in Redemption?
The restoration of man from the bondage of sin to the liberty of the children of God through the satisfactions and merits of Christ.
You must not be a christian
bowes3 3 years ago
Yes, I do believe in redemption.
I also believe that those who commit a crime that takes another life should pay with their own.
Maestrohbill 3 years ago
Oh you must think you are God.
God is the only one that can judge the living and the dead
Maybe you did not read that part of the bible.
bowes3 3 years ago
No, I don't think I'm God. Incredibly enough, you make a judgment yourself when you say a person should NOT be executed for a crime.
But maybe logic isn't your strong suit.
Maestrohbill 3 years ago
What?
Took you a week to come up with that.
