  • Great Ending ;') ~

  • people were incredibly ignorant then

  • Paper plates and plastic forks and spoons? Please. I eat off the same plates and drink from the same cups as people who have HIV/AIDS at my internship. And I don't even bat an eyelash. This is ridiculous... so glad most people are more educated on the virus today.

  • @ForensicsOnTheScene exactly. It's a shame that it took stories like this, and people like Ryan having to go through all those horrible experiences for us to get to the level :\

  • Why can I watch part 8?

  • anybody kno where part 6 and 8 are??

  • LOL

  • Im sick and tired of the DAM reporters :/ i feel bad for ryan :(

  • The bedroom scene when he was going crazzy made me cry!

  • After watching this part of the movie I can't help but wonder why some people put so much effort into hating instead of loving. I understand that people were scared, but throughout the movie they kept saying that AIDS could not be contracted through casual contact so why not focus on that piece of information. Love does not take that much effort compared to hate. I just don't get why the majority of the citizens of Kokomo could not love Ryan like Ciscero did.

  • Why was part 8 banned?? What happened during those 9 minutes?

  • @cantabilewoman part 8 is on here

  • No offence to some parents, but some are veryyy CLOSE MINDED! Damn111

  • OMG I'm blubbering my eyes out.

  • @bettescorpio My God, I'm a wreck... I need to be held right now, seriously.

  • @gameshowluvr86 relax

  • I hope the people of Kokomo, IN who tried to bar Ryan White from school burn in hell for all eternity.

  • Freedom of the press looks good on paper, don't it...

  • IT WAS NIKKI COX, NOT JENNY LEWIS...

  • I don't blame them for moving away, and moving on. Sometimes you just can't win. And when someone shot a bullet into their house, they knew it wasn't getting any better. It's just sad your own hometown does that to you.

  • The daughter looks like Bindi erwin (not sure on spelling) Such a sad story :(

  • these people are crazy. how can they surround a kid like that? are the freaking crazy? sure they want to get their stories but still.

  • thats sssoo wrong ppl doing that to him and that person calling him a fag... thats just wrong!!!!

  • You can barely see him but the white-haired man next to Mr. Vaughan (George C Scott) was the real Mr. Vaughan.

  • Ryan's life and the disease he endured certainly wasn't in vain ...

  • What the hell is wrong with these people? They're SO stupid!!

  • "We Won!, We Won!" what a stupid woman

  • that girl sitting to the far left in the first row with the striped shirt on is ryan's real sister!!

  • in the face of all this fear, it really shows that michael jackson was smart and compassionate. he wasnt afraid to be around ryan.

  • this makes me sad because the towns people are being such big jerks to the family.):

  • @MJkingofpopforeverrr they really dont wanna be jerks to the family they just worried. if u had 2 kids and a new huge virus came out like aids. and u dint know anything about it. u would act the same way

  • Researchers say that HIV probably came to America from an infected Haitian immigrant in the 1960s. It wasn't Ryan's fault he got AIDS, but the fault really lies with the the U.S. government in the 80s: they didn't take the proper steps to address the pandemic, which led to people just like Ryan (gay, straight, young, old--doesn't matter) to die needlessly. If people knew how it spread, then they would know how to prevent it and 25 million people would still be alive.

  • It was sad when he said "you know what I want"...it made me cry....so sad

  • Poor ryan I read the book it was sad. I think how people treated him was wrong.

But then again they didnt know better.

But also it still didnt give them the right to do that.

  • you're fucking disgusting.

people like YOU deserve to get aids.

then maybe you could wipe your hillbilly ass with some more ignorant shit you spit out.

  • @BABYBUNNYFLUFF yeah that is real smart.. do you realize that by telling someone else they should get aids, that is just spreading it more? Are you an idiot? You are probably 13 and no one wants to be your friends. I feel bad for you.

  • @LeeLeeO82 you're obviously fucking retarded. "no one wants to be your friends." it's friend, first off.

secondly, don't come jumping down my throat at a response i made to a movie.

    you can suck it, bitch.

  • @BABYBUNNYFLUFF I love how you can only point out my grammar... this is the internet jerk and I don't think I have to use perfect grammar. I type real fast anyways and that happens. I don't care what you think but you sound really rude.

  • @LeeLeeO82 I'm thirteen and I'm really mature.

Did you know Ryan is thirteen? No? Oh, then watch the movie and stop being stupid.

  • dude,

AIDS came here by means of someone that had a blood transfusion and got the AIDS disease. (in the 40's)

  • So dude, i see you are picking on little Ryan White now? You said "i have no tolerance for people with AIDS" on another post. Did you not?

  • oh yeah if he cut himself to put blood in drinks he would bleed to death becuase he was hemophilic (his blood doesn't clot)

  • i hope those ignorant individuals really got a taste of their own medicine. i cannot believe what intolerences these assholes had for a child.

it really disgusts me that this shit still HAPPENS (maybe not made known) but it still does. thank god we have come further then that in society for the most part.

  • I wonder what happened to all those ignorant people that lived in that town. Did they ever take the oppurtunnity to educate themselves? Or did they know someone in their lives that became infected with HIV or AIDS.

I am so happy that the laws have changed and as a nation we are more informed. Thank you for posting this movie.

  • this is digusting he shouldnt have had to go through this. im so happy ppl stood up for him like MJ and others, Im happy he bought him a mustang before he died. since the school shunned him the world excepted him.

    so sad

  • He wasn't the only child with AIDS that was barred from school. Google Chris Oyler.

  • DANG THAT SUCKS

  • i would like that case to be on american history jus lik other cases if it hasnt been

  • very good point kreed1 rip ryan

  • "GO TO HELL!" go Ryan!!!

  • My thoughts exactly. They had it coming.

  • Go Ryan. Saying " go to hell." You rock!!!!!!

  • @Darkrose123411 I know it Gawd Damnit. I didn't just tear up on that part, I boo hoo'd loudly! i KNOW I'm not the only one that did, either. Goodness Gracious, this is the best movie ever.

  • @Darkrose123411 when did he say that

  • he told them to go to hell haha thats great......one of the toughest kids ever

  • what is ironic ..is after the first court case here~Everyone is crowding close to Ryan~What..now there not scared?!?

  • You know what I never thought of it like that. thats a pretty great point lol

  • I didn't either. Excellent point!

  • @kreed1 very good point... people only believe what they want to believe, when it's convenient for them

  • @kreed1 i was totaly thinkin that

  • Is the mother played by Judith light ??

  • Yes.

  • @flawless7777 I knew I seen her from somewhere!! Who's The Boss!! That's it!! Thanks.

  • Respond to this video... Is Ryan's best friend the blonde kid...It has been bugging me....Is he Alan from Punky Brewster?

  • @MsGina yes it is Alan from Punky Brewster

  • @mizkeeluv THANK U!!! I thought I was going crazy.

  • @MsGina hahahaa!

  • URGH! That makes me so mad when one shitty thing happens after another. First he gets aids, than their Christmas is trashed, Barney dies and now people are shooting through their windows. I feel so bad for them.

  • shit how can i get my kids to love school this much and want to go...

  • i love ryan he is so amazing to want to go to school cause im15 and i hate school and i love when he tells the gut to go to hell at 3:36 cause those people are ignorant and stupid he is dying and they only think of themselves

  • all human beings should be more like ryan white: brave, caring, smart, integrity words can't express what a remarkable person he was

  • Why can't those damn reporters just back the fuck off and these ignorant people can just go to damn Hell.

  • Reporters are still like that. I love how a person can have a child who had been found murdered and there's a camera right in their face with a reporter asking how they feel? Not all reporters are bad but some are really annoying.

  • Enjoying your injoke I see?

  • He's like a little caged Grizzly between 2:47 - 4:04. You've got to admire the fact that they never would give up.

  • "Then you will, damn it. You will."

You have got to love how his family never surrenders. Especially to that bitch who started the petition.

  • this makes me want to cry.

  • a lot of people were uneducated on aids back then.if i was a parent then i wouldnt want ryan in my child's school either.

  • What about now? People know about AIDS more and how you can get it, and there is one person who goes to my school that has HIV (not AIDS) and has had it since he was 10.

If only there were more people like Ryan. People who have the determination and strength to keep fighting. People who aren't afraid to battle a group 10 times stronger than they are. And even if you didn't want Ryan in your kid's school, would you feel the slightest bit of sympathy for him? My school would have accepted Ryan.

  • i think u misunderstood what i was trying to say. i ment that back then in 1985 lots of people weren't educated on hiv like they are now.back then i would not want my child at the same school as Ryan.i do feel lots of sympathy for him and it was terrible what happened.i don't think now they would make a big fuss about a kid in school with hiv as they did back then, but like i said if i was around then with my child i would not want my dau in school with him and i would have signed the petition.

  • Now I see.

But what about the kids? They always consider someone "gay" if they don't like them, and if they found out that someone had HIV, they'd either avoid him like the plague or torment him. Kids can be cruel.

  • rhs6520, Your lack of education & ignorance is showing , It is 2009 & it is hard to believe some people are as clueless now as they were in the 80's. I would have been more than happy for my child to go to school with Ryan White or any other child with AIDS. Ryan was a boy before his time with guts & determination. We need more people like Ryan White in this world. It would be a far greater place.

  • Don't hold your breath for that apology your after. Ryan whites story is all about guts & determination that is the core of his story..How can you not see that? If so many of us are misunderstanding what your trying to say..Maybe you should learn how to express yourself with a better use of the english language. Your comments are still ignorant....good luck with that apology..You won't be getting one for me as you are the one typing bullshit.

  • to both DestiniOz and Rhs6520 I am a person who has lived with AIDS 4 28 yrs.

Do not fight! I understand RHS in that those days he /she would have signed the petit:

& I understand DES with his compassion!

In the 80's no one knew what was hap" Now we (hopefully do)

I have lived with discrimination for 28 yr.s

    I even disciminated myself!

By lying to folks about my disease!

This little boy always was a role model!

His Mom too, 4 without her

there would be no Ryan White insurance to help .

  • rhs6520 i suggest you go and educate yourself about epidemics you have no concept of cause what you said was very ignorant and stupid and you really showed how profound of a follower you can be just like the close-minded people of Kokomo. Just because 80% of a stupid small town had a negative belief on an innocent boy doesnt mean you have to carry it. you're a follower and an ass on top of that rhs6520

  • Thanks Destini!

If all of you here giving a reply or writing hate want to talk with me please feel free and ask me anything! I have lived with this disease for 28 years( longest woman in Miami!)

I do not care about hate and discrimination anymore!

I Love to help others and educare others!

I too have Guts ,determination~and positive vibes and thinking!

I creid upon seeing this movie again! It remeinded me of who I am a beutifull woman with a strong heart who did not ask 4 this disease!

  • well done kreed1 keep fighting and god bless you! you're a fighter!

  • I admire you for putting yourself in their shoes. I think that the people should have educated themselves and accepted the facts rather than bullying Ryan and his family, though. I was one in 1985 and my parents had a friend who had full-blown AIDS and he held me often. They had educated themselves and realized that doctors knew what they were talking about when it came to AIDS. And we lived in a small town in Indiana too, no different than Kokomo.

  • Kentland? Morocco? Terre Haute? Indiana has a lot of small towns. Plenty of places to live. Everything's about an hour from Chicago, too.

  • Elkhart. I loved being close to Chicago, it was the nearest big city. So much more to do!

  • OMG the girl playing Ryan's sister is actress Nikki Cox!!!!!!!!!

  • yes and nikki cox played hailey in the 1989 movie "the wizard"

  • No, that was Jenny Lewis.

  • wow, you are so ignorant
