I'm kind of indifferent about this film. I am a fan of all three actors. Sam L. Jackson did an excellent job of playing a complete a**hole. Patrick Wilson looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Kerry Washington was probably the best choice for this role.
What I've noticed is that usually when there's a movie that features a Black woman and a White man as a couple, the White guy is usually an emasculated pussy. Just like in "Something New". Interesting...

The problem is that Able Turner (Sam Jackson's character) is a deeply unlikeable guy and he knows it. He is jealous of the husband, and wants the love of a wife for himself. Able's felt sense of unlikeability, keeps him single after the loses his wife and lonely. He hides behind his badge rather than look at himself, and grow. Perhaps he needed more time to heal, before returning to work. A superior officer would know the loss of a spouse is hard, and that time to regroup is necessary.

I liked this movie, it was just a little too realistic for me, except the ending was very Hollywood as. Samuel Jackson was brillant as usual. I don't think the other actors had work too hard to look scared, he was scaring the hell out of me and I've met the man in real life.

I must say I admire black women because they are beautiful.My boyfriend loves them,I am jealous.I think it is ridiculous for black men to be mad when they are the 1st ones to date outside their race because they are not "man enough to handle them (black women)" like Samuel Jackson said in the movie to the white guy although he should have been asking that to himself because obviously he wasn't man enough to keep his wife satisfied himself ...so the white guy and black girl get my vote!..ha ha!

Yes it was. I saw it for free at the theatre along with "The Family that Preys". That movie was excellent!!
