  • This one is really nice but I personally like Emiliano Zapata and Benito Juárez more ;-) also the one called "El Grito" Dolores.... That one is nice too

  • We are in agreement. Market forces; be they car doors or the advent of the 9mm Parabellum higher velocity round, are what drove the development of the .39 Super. And if anyone from Colt Industries is reading this, it's not too late to develop a higher capacity platform based on the 1911 pattern. That would be a fitting "next-level" application for this excellent round.

  • 1 ROUND IN MEXICO WILL COST YOU 1.30 DOLARS SO IMAGINE

  • la 38 super de MEXICO

  • The .38 Super Automatic round was developed by Colt Arms as an answer to the 9mm Parabellum. This was to address multinational markets, as well as the growing popularity of the 9mm in N. America. However, Colt never did engineer a higher capacity magazine, a` la FN Browning, for their popular 1911 platform. Consequently, despite its superior ballistics and competition shooting performance, it fell by the way. It is a superior round, and a joy to shoot, but a little esoteric.

  • @TheCarablanco

The .38 Super was developed by Colt in the late 1920's because the .45 ACP didn't have enough velocity to punch through a car door and still kill the bad guys inside. The .38 Super had enough punch to not only pierce through car doors but it was also hot enough to defeat the body armor of the time.

That is pretty much the short story of the research I've done on the .38 Super.

Also, .38 Super is popular in Mexico because military caliber weapons & ammunition are illegal there

  • that is an interesting Spanish name.

  • Are those pearl grips there? very nice gun

  • That gun made me jizz in my pants.....very nice gun

  • Wow, thats a beautiful gun. I can't wait till im at legal age to buy a handgun. I only can buy rifles right now but i want a 1911 so bad.

  • jajajajajjajaja .38 super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ahuevo puro .39 super !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is day of the dead the same as halloween ?

  • @bnjnbvchjh (1/2) no,it is not. Halloween was originally a celtic tradition. Day of the Dead is a latin-Catholic way to honor and remember gone relatives and such...the celebration is a lot different also, in Day of the Dead families make altars with a Pictures and belongings of someone who passed away, his/her favorite games, foods, and other things are placed in altar, or in their grave...a pathway is usually made to gide the way to altar/grave, made of flower petals...

  • @bnjnbvchjh (2/2...a pathway is usually made to gide the way to altar/grave, made of flower petals...anyway, i am from mexico, but i have never celebrated this tradition myself.

  • Its a Modelo Super. Fucktards....9mm bergman bayard. or in terms 9mm largo.......9x23 mm 1450 FPS. It is the Big Star Hemingway refers to in the book.... For Whom the Bell Tolls. A rare Gem of fortitude.l Much respected and sought after.

  • .38 super is a great round but I hate the hype these guns get because of how it's glamorized in Mexican narco culture. Fuckin sheep same reason black gangsters shoot glocks and drink hennesy & cystal champange.

  • wowww beautiful fire arm whats the price on that man

  • :O

  • Are those day of the dead markings ?

also my friend owns 2 pistols like these 1 black and 1 white and in true devil may cry style named them ebony and ivory.

also (again is that a mother of pearl handle?

  • Are those day of the dead markings ?

also my friend owns 2 pistols like these 1 black and 1 white and in true devil may cry style named them ebony and ivory.

  • love this music especially on the colt 1911 anniversary model video

  • my lord, what a beautiful gun

  • believe it or not, the .38 super its illegal in Mexico for civilian use, only for police n military, unless u are a collector

  • its because the 38 round is the easiest to come by in mexico they're strict on sellin ammo out there 45 rounds are rare etc...

  • thats a badass gun..

  • love the gun by the wayy!

  • @GunWebsites

  • @MrASQ1 well 50 bucks here is 500 over theree...but yeee im pretty sure if you know someone from the cartels over there you can get your guns cheapp...

  • @MrASQ1 haha in mexico you can own anything as long as you have the cash

  • @MrASQ1 u are able to buy 2 handguns .38 and .38 special only, and 8 rifles (for hunting) , the problem in Mexico is that u need to go to an army base to get the permission and its very difficult, sorry 4 my english

  • @MrASQ1 good but there legally if the 380 larger sizes you can find them on the black market of weapons both handguns and long guns, but assault or when you have an illegal gun or caliber is your responsibility and you are bound to be punished by law

  • @MrASQ1

No a .380 is illegal in Mexico a regular citizen can only own .32 and down ..... 25, 22 a fucking bb gun.... things like those.... trust me I had to go and get my permission from the Army to own my gun here in Mexico and I can only own a .32 hand gun, as for rifles, they must be hunting if not then your screwed.....

  • @MrASQ1 yes its true also 38 speacial and i think 25 acp too

  • Congratulations, the best colt I've ever seen

  • It's...Beautiful :0

  • if she was in .45 id give a leg for it!

  • I'm surprised that Colt actually made this model, I would've figured some Latin American 1911 manufacturer would've carved out this beauty.

  • beautiful weapon...

  • Dear Santa,

  • So what, is the .38 super a popular round in Latin America?

  • @ballisstix

in Mexico it is.. not sure about the rest

  • @GunWebsites what did you mean??? 38 super is a caliber not allow in Mexico just the 38 special for revolvers!!! yesss damm goverment and gun controls!! thats is the reason why mexico have many troubles of national security!!!

  • @ballisstix it is dude since is an easier round to find, its more acurate than the .45, and it does kick as hard as the .45, the mexican mafias make it popular

  • yes it is popular in many latin american countries. military rounds are limited there so rounds like the 45 acp is not a major player there.

  • @ballisstix It's popular down South because in countries like Mexico, most civilians are denied access to military calibers. Thus, the .38 Super is arguably the best non-military cartridge that Latin Americans can get in an autoloader.

  • @TheAKOmnicide damm guns controls!!!

  • @ballisstix looking at this gun is modified by a gunsmith here in mexico craft in the country have a lot to do some work embedded precious gold, silver and all manner of precious materials you customize to your liking of this edition of this gun is not there originally manufactured by colt but here in mexico and if you make 38 in mexico is preferred for its precision and power besides being a weapon of its structure resisitente

  • Only a Spanish person would want it but if it was all gold or all silver I'd buy it

  • All guns are IILEGAL in mexico, unless you have a special permit along with paying high taxes and having them registered. The government is very strict about firearms in mexico, but everyone has them anyways lol :) lol sorry bout the comment below

  • That pistol makes me wet in my Pants.

  • wow.........very nice.....

  • Someone once told me that these pistols were popular in Mexico since military calibers are not legal to own.

  • that is true

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBudgetArmory they are popular in mexico even now

  • @TheBudgetArmory the 1911 in .45 acp, 38 super and .50 gi caliber is the most popular pistol in Mexico, just 100 steps ahead of the desert eagle, walther p38, luger pistol, S&W revolvers and the beretta m9. By the way never, ever say you don't like the .45 acp in Mexico cause you can get your ass shot with it, or say you like the 9mm just instead say you like 10mm it sounds more like a mans caliber

. Not saying this to scare you or feel bad nor offending you.

  • @santoroyerdeantorcha I heard about the 38 Super caliber preference from a big gun store in the Chicagoland area (just outside of Cook county) about 15 years ago. He told me that they sold a lot of 38 Super 1911's (which is not common in the U.S.) because people would buy them here and sell them to civilians in Mexico due to the ban on military calibers like the 45 ACP. I carry a 45 ACP 1911 everyday, so, sorry if you misunderstood what I was saying.

  • @thebudgetarmory1 no is Ok, is true. the 45 acp in mexico isn't actually banned, the 9mm is ban because its known as a fast anti-personel round. Don't get that part of the 9mm being banned instead of the 45. You live in Mexico?

  • @santoroyerdeantorcha No, but the person who told me this was from Mexico. Thanks for that information.

  • @TheBudgetArmory .38supers wereproducedin mexico thecaliber is popular becsuse they were exposed to it no the 45 acp

  • @TheBudgetArmory thats partly true.military calibers are not legal to own.but neither is any other caliber.firearms are completely illegal in mexico.there is no such thing as a gun store in mexico.

  • @cantfoome same thing in Russia too. They just too scared of people.

  • i want one for when the zombies attack...

  • nice gun..! you could even want to touch it... make sealed glass frame for that pistol...

  • nah. i'd carry it...but only when i was in a tuxedo

  • this would be a good tuxedo gun

  • @GunWebsites you would need the spanish guitar to play out of nowhere though whenever you walked into a place, maybe gipsy kings.

  • i ll give you 5000 for that gun

  • That's a bad mofo.Love the name of the gun.

  • AWESOME!!

     I'm big on Colt

    THATS A NICE GUN

  • were those all real Benjamens??

  • of course.. that's how we roll

  • hahaha yeee boy.

  • @GunWebsites lol

  • People have asked about the music,

It's from a open source website 'freepd' (can't post links)

Song is called "Ambush in Rattlesnake Gulch"

  • thats sweeeet. by the way whats the name of this song

  • God-- urm, I mean, Devil, that's gorgeous!

    PS - Soundtrack?

  • why do you say "Devil that's gorgeous"?

  • "Dia de los Muertos" means, "Day of the Dead."

Skulls and dead macabre figures is the theme of the beautiful work on this 1911 and of the festival.

'Devil' instead of 'God' - lol.

  • I speak spanish, I just was not sure what the Devil had to do with the Dia de los Muertos...

  • Oh, ummm.

It's okay if you didn't get it... it wasn't that funny anyways. ;P

    Cheers!

  • The firearm is sexy though...

  • Right you are!

  • baeutiful

  • Wow that is a work of art. Any idea of the value of that? Thanks for that.5/5

  • up the sellers, there were only 200 made.. $1000+ for sure

  • Before I forget, what is the name of this song?

  • Kool gun man, that thing looks like something out of a movie. and this song sounds formilure to me, well the violins do. I used the same violin loop in a music making program called Logic Express. I don't know if the people from Logic used the violin loop from some famous song, but it sounds pretty coo.
