As an aside, it's a terrible idea to give gifts related to someone's hobby / profession. If somebody's into it, they probably know more about it than you, and your gift is going to be way below what they would have gotten for themselves. You probably aren't giving a terrible gift, but the person would have done a much better job of it themself.

This is especially true for something involving taste. You basically become grandma when you try to get someone a gift related to their hobby/interest.

the funny thing about this is that i've been doing this for a few years and i started because i woke up too early and was bord and i didn't even know it was fashion able and i feel less silly for having steez by wearing suits and whatnot on a daily basis

2 months ago it dawned on me that my shirts were way too big for me. I gave about 25 of them to the tailor to be resized. Some were too big to resize, so I donated them. He did a good job with the rest, I'm happy with the results. Now my shirts are at least tolerable. Gee I don't know why I'd been wearing them all this time.

Careful though, in order to resize the shirt the tailor also needs to narrow the sleeves. So if your sleeves barely fit, this kind of alteration may not be the suitable.

Notice that this is the classical procedure, which involves undoing the lateral stitches. Upper and lower torso are narrowed equally.

Another procedure is darting, which leaves the lateral stitches untouched, only creates 2 new ones at the back.

What do you think of darted shirts, Aaron? Are they too feminine? Does a shirt look good when the lower torso is narrower than the upper? Do you recommend it for dress shirts only, if at all? I know the shirt must be solid color, or will look silly.
