yes!!!! tabs are stupid, god gave you guitar to play and ears to hear. its funner and more satisfying when you learn a song by ear, its like a puzzle or something, and it helps your talent

everyone who uses them grows out of them eventually. i wouldn't condemn them entirely they are useful for beginning musicians.

Correction: It was recorded by Newbern in 1929. The earliest recorded version is "Minglewood Blues" by Gus Cannon's Jug Stompers in 1928.
