And - one sure way to protect one's family is not put them in a place of jeopardy. Those going to Palestine/Israel knew the risks from the very first, like American settlers. The term Palestine is derived from Filistinya, which as I understand is derived from those who lived there before the 1st Kingdom of Israel.
