Lovely.

  • Your awesome!!! I'm going to do this everyday! Btw I love that you used Kara's Step for the some of the background music, it's so catchy.

  • In your experience, is it possible for an inflexible adult male to become able to do a split? I've been trying to increase my flexibility on and off but my hamstrings are so tight...

  • Melodee I love the music!!! What background music did you use for the first song its stuck in my head :3

  • Melodee do you know any methods to lose weight ?? Cause I would like to lose the excess weight first before i build up my body and toned it down..

  • @FidahMonster Actually, the workout exercises where I was laying down on the mat are great for weight loss! Your entire lower body will start to burn after doing just a few sets. Please check out my other exercise video, as I did more workout exercises there, too. Dancing also really helps b/c you sweat a lot. Just running can be tiring and hard to continue everyday, so I would recommend putting your fav music on and moving your body :) Doing easy exercises everyday really make a difference!

  • @danceandmelodee Thank you so much! I would definitely start doing these workout exercises. I look forward to more videos in the future . I'm glad I found your channel randomly . Really love your videos and the way you talk is kinda cute . Kekeke~ Thank you so much once again , Melodee!

  • @holi82942 Aww I'm so glad I spent a lot of time and effort into this video. You're very welcome :) Good luck!<3

  • Really love it!!!

  • Thank you so much for this!!! You're an inspiration.

  • Love your video, Melodee! You showcase a wonderful series of exercises w such extraordinary poise & elegance and yet break each one down in easy to understand steps (although they aren't all easy to emulate, esp. the scissors :) You are a perfect model and illustrate so well the benefits & results of employing a routine workout such as this. One can see that you are in your element here. The fireplace in the back is so nice but your smile & wave bye at the end is the most heartwarming thing ever!

  • @airkeebo I did my best to make sure each exercise's explanation was easy to understand, so I am very happy to hear from my viewers that it was easy for them to follow. Yes, the scissors are definitely a super tough one, but it works very well! :) Thank you so much for the compliment and kindest words.<3

  • Yay I am so excited to try these new exercises! I definitely need to do more core exercises because I've kinda stopped after my aerobic classes in college and now my back feels stiff. I know doing these exercises can help me relax and sleep better. Do you have any tips on how to strengthen your neck muscles? I remember on the first day of my aerobics class, we did 500 crunches - my neck and shoulders nearly died on me, but after 2 weeks, my body adjusted to it. Thank you so much for sharing! :)

  • @Enchanteralle Yes, these exercises definitely will help your body relax and sleep well at the end of the day :) Dancers don't really train the neck muscles b/c we need to have our neck relaxed and shoulders down... but I would say crunches would be great. Also, try doing simple neck exercises like you may experience in a jazz class. Start with the head going up and down, side to side sharply with the music, then slow rolls in both directions. If I find any better tips, I will let you know! :)

  • @danceandmelodee Melodee, just to let you know, I've been doing the exercises you showed in this video for about 5 days now and I gotta say that my body muscles feel the burn - which means it's a good thing 'cause it's working! I especially love the core exercises because that exercise works on so many parts of my body at once (back, hips, legs, etc.). I challenge myself w/ crunches along w/ some of your moves. Good idea, I'll do simple neck exercises before my crunches! :)

  • Thank you!!

  • I've been dancing from the age of three, but because of that I have really muscular legs and of course working out won't make them smaller, so is there anything that would minimize them? o.o

  • Thanks for sharing!<3 I will defintely try them out~

  • you are so awesome~!! always lookin' forward to your videos melodee :) .。 .・*。.

  • Awesome editing job. You describe how to do the stretches very well, in the voice over.

I never knew ballet dancers were in such good shape. Ever since I have started to watch your vids, my respect for the fitness level and athleticism of ballet dancers has increased greatly.

I guess, I just never understood how fit a good ballet dancer has to be. And your a good one.

No matter what the subject matter is, your vids are always a joy to watch.

Keep up the great work, Melodee! :)

  • @uberaudioexperience Thank you very much, Kevin! Yes, ballet dancers are all extremely strong with tons of inner muscle lol. Especially when it comes to partnering with a guy, the girl has to have a VERY strong core to hold herself in a balletic position, and not freak out when lifted overhead, spinned really fast, etc. or else it could be very dangerous >< I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

  • okay time to add this to my daily activities... oh god the stretching... the flexibility!!

  • Your penche is gorgeous! We do the exact same exercises in my company class :)

  • This is such a great video ^^ Thank you for making it for us :D

  • omg the stretching bit looks so hard...

  • Woooowww.... You are so felixible it's crazy! But this seems like a great video! I'll try this out and it seems like a good workout ^o^ thanks!

  • Even if she wasn't this stunning looking she still would be so much fun in the bedroom with those skills :P

  • Thank you for this video Melody, I love it! You are a very good teacher!

    kss!!

  • Hey Melodee! This is such an effective workout for the body. Thank you so much for sharing it with us :)

Could you please do a video on how you first began attempting to do the splits? I know that the splits take perseverance and time to master well, but could you still show us how you did gradually master it over the years and also share some good techniques? (e.g. whether the feet should be pointed, turned out, and how to position the pelvis etc.)

I hope you read this! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    xxx

  • @babyoaaasis Thank you for your words and video request! I wrote about it briefly on my website so you can it out if you would like (link above), but I will do a video focused on stretches. :) Like you said, it does take a lot of time and effort to gain flexibility AND the strength to keep your flexibility. It's all about practicing and not giving up, but I will share my special tips and tricks to master them!

  • KARA step it up~~~

  • Haha I saw this vid title today and thought how :( it totally links to my failed resolution... Must regain interest! Thank you

  • hi melodee, i was just wondering how tall you were?

  • Thank you for your videos! I always look forward to them because they are fun and your workout videos are easy to follow unlike other videos on different channels I have seen.

  • Great video, Melodee! Love that you do this in English and Japanese. Stretching and Japanese practice at the same time.

  • hey melodee! your back!!!

im a guy so i never actually thought about slimming my body, but i thought it was a good chance and i tried the "final stretches"!

guess what.. i couldnt even reach my foot..TAT

and my last comment is.... what a gorgeous house you have!!

my house is too small that i barely have space to stretch.lol

  • thank you for sharing ! :D

    すごくいいビデオですね^^

    とても参考になります^^

    メロディーさんもすごいけど

    ご自宅?スゴイ^^;

  • @danceandmelodee yes!!! new video!!! i have one question though... my legs look fine but my legs have these dots on them and make me legs look unappealing and rough. Since i am still young i want to wear clothes that show my legs but the dots r just not letting me. I do mosturize my legs everyday but its just not giving me smooth legs i want. pl

  • @ChocoMochiLover Please check out my "Must-Have Japanese Beauty Products" video. :) There, I introduced a product that works specifically for curing those "dots". I explained what kind of ingredients are used in the product as well, so if you can't get a hold of that certain product, you can search for a similar one with the same ingredients sold in your country. It is most likely b/c your razor is too sharp, your skin is sensitive, or you are not applying enough shaving cream. Hope this helps!

  • melody, thank you so much for doing this video :D

  • kara step up

  • yay kara ^^ nice video :)
