  • Jack is everyones daddy.

  • WAKE UP PEOPLE the OIL COMPANIES HIRE HIT SQUADS and pay off Governments to stay in power.

  • Jack wasn't enough for the OIL SYNDICATE 2 keep ANY form of alternate ENERGY OFF MARKET - wake up slaves

  • I WANNA BE THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And here we are 30 years later. Still gas. Mostly gas cars out there.

  • I am amazed how many people can't understand that water contains Hydrogen! Shows really how much the government/oil companies are mis informing the masses. We don't need no Oil!!!!

  • I'd giving anything to be on what Jack was on right now. I need the 70's.

  • I'm obsessed with this man so much. ❤

  • You will buy my oil at whatever price i say for the rest of your lives for you are all fascist debt slaves living in my economic prison--JD Rockefeller< King of the satanic fascist parasites

  • why didn't this get off the ground WTF >_< the icecaps are floating the fuck away :P lol

  • theat's ai naice CAER!

  • wow

  • Marxism is obviously BS and people who follow its teachings are very misguided but it does act as a good model to show how oil companies, who have great influence over the government, are exploiting the people.

For example, electrical cars have been around since the the early 20th century and hydrogen technology has been around even before this news story. The oil companies don't want that technology to enter the market so they artificially limit supply and marketability.

  • Very interestin',..hard to believe 30 some years ago the technology was there,...lol....Jack Nicholson gets rid of some gas!xD Thumbs up CBCtv and thankin' my pal Rudy for the share!

  • We need to do something about this, mabey pollute the internet with this video.

Not good enough, but a start.

  • Here's what I have to say. Whoever didn't allow this car, let alone this idea continue on, are idiots. All they want is money. If they let this car out, they'll lose all their money! OH NO! But hey, what can money do, if we're all dead from so much pollution? Eh?

  • Makes you think what kind of REAL technology is being hidden from us.

  • this carrr runs on hydrogen. oh ya sure dontcha know?

  • Hindenburg

  • Funny how this hasn't even seen the light of day. I'm willing to be those greedy fucking oil companies are sabotaging any new ideas that come along. Solar power should be way more widespread than it is today. Every house could have solar cells on the rooftops. What the fuck are we waiting for ?

  • Did Jack take a bong hit out of the exhaust or what? He sure sounded like it.

  • nice makeup!

  • I wanna drive my "cerr"

  • everyone here bangs on about WHY didnt this succeed and conspiracies blah blah, well the answer is one word.

RUST. byproduct of hydrogen = water, motor is made of. . .? metal. concept is fine, but all the motors stopped working because they rusted out in a short time. that was the fate of hydrogen fuel to power a regular motor car. end of.

  • @hooweelewis , Im not even going to explain... Yes I will. Rust does not effect many types of metals. WTF are you talking about?

  • @hooweelewis You, are not very bright.

  • @hooweelewis what the fuck do you think OIL was invented for ?

  • @electricchaos You truly are a moron. Congratulations.

  • This video is good cause for a revolution... but no, instead we stick to our divisiveness and bury our heads in the devises that further perpetuate our divisions. No man is an island... but yet we continue to create a sea of information between ourselves. it's time we take our heads out of the comfortable echo-chamber the internet has created and start focusing on common problems.

  • nothing was buried, it wasn't real.

  • Amazing, I hate the crooks burying this technology.

People need to go to jail, all who kept this innovation out.

  • I would love one of those. Also read a good article about the same at fasteconomicalcars (.) com

  • I love the accents - sound like in "Fargo."

    One question about the technology:

Since H2O is the most plentiful and effective greenhouse gas, what would happen if all cars produced it?

Final question: If this was so good, what happened to it?

  • power those hydrogen keeeeerrssss

  • Honey, you got to but your bag in the back seat..

  • @1980Invasiontour - " Don't call me 'honey,' 'mac'!"

  • I love Jack.

  • Third post,

You all know who and what Jack Nicholson is right? Scammer, prankster, comedian, deceiver, etc.

He was also very outspoken, if this was for real, and it is not, Jack would have been richer than you can imagine from it alone.

A year before this interview, I met a guy in Seattle, pushing the same scam, BUT knowing chemistry, and CARS very well, I confronted him on it, and when I got down to look under the car for the gas tank he claimed wasn't there, he got very anxious.

  • @IVpoleBiker you dumbass

hydrogen + oxygen --> water is an endothermic reaction, meaning it gives energy.... and is thermodynamically favorable.

the product of getting energy is water, which just turns to steam at the heat of the car. you clearly havent taken and university chemistry so dont act like you did. trust me, thanks

  • Think first, this is a scam first used in the late 20's, the story line changes every time it's reborn.

For instance, if you understand even the most basic of chemistry, you know water is made of 2 atoms of Hydrogen, and 1 atom of Oxygen.

Oxygen is an EX-plosive gas, it EXPANDS in it's burn process.

Hydrogen is IM-plosive, it contracts in it's burn process.

    Continued in next post,,,,

  • The two together CANCEL EACH OTHER OUT, -- Hence we have water which does not burn.

If you could burn off the Hydrogen, HOW would you get steam, which is water???

We do have Hydrogen Engines, BUT, they work on INTERNAL IMPLOSION, not one single standard INTERNAL EXPLOSION (Combustion) Engine will even begin to run, and CANNOT be converted.

PS, INERT WHITE POWDER that is explosion resistant? COME ON ARE YOU FALLING FOR IT?

IT HAS TO BE IM-plosive or EX-plosive or you DO NOT HAVE A FUEL!

  • Guys, a fuel cell just is a manner to store energy. It isn't really a fuel, because you have to spend energy in electricity production to generate hydrogen. So how are you going to manufacture that much electricity to produce that much hydrogen? By nuclear perhaps? You'd need far more than solar can produce. Solar can't even produce what we need now.

  • "If nothing else of course, this will revolutionise suicide.

    bahahaha

    "

  • How many are dead and counting due to our over usage of oil?

    food for thought

    S.I.S

    Master Lee Mochow

  • @MasterLeeMochow Agree, and stupid reliance on it which is the main reason for the b#llsh!t wars in the middle east where innocent people (children, women and men) are killed, and maimed for life physically and mentally.

  • He was talking so slowly lol

  • oil still runs everything because we have a global capitalistic economy

  • This so fuckin pisses me off! They have invented this back in 1978 before I was born and now it's 2010 and we are still using fuckin gas for everything. If they used hydrogen power cars today then the oil spill in the gulf would have never happen, because by now the oil industry would have been out of business!!!!!!!!!!

  • As long as we're dumb enough to pay for the gasoline, whatever the price, there's no incentive for companies to develop cars that run exclusively on different fuels.

  • @lameplanet Oh shut up. I mean really. The point was made decades ago. To say it now you sound naive or obtuse.

  • Does anyone know whatever happened to this car? I'm very interested in buying it.

  • I love Jacks voice! I could listen to him talking all day!

  • God please keep Jack alive we dont have have actors like him in this Generation!

  • @EsMiVidaTV Another good reason we need to support and say yes to human cloning. We may end up with a few more idiots in the world but we do already and stats indicate that it is proportional =]

  • Our stupid reliance on oil and fossil fuels are soooo (early) last century and is keeping humanity in the dark ages and eventually may cost us the lives of our children.

  • @Alfdehombre24 Great point! Almost makes you fell like a wage slave huh?

    S.I.S

    Master Lee Mochow

  • If cars were fuelled by water, many people would die of thirst.

  • @Rui108 don't be silly :)

  • gotta love the power hungry oil conglomerates, how come nobody stands up to the oil companies, the governent,? oh wait we are sheep, unless we stand out in a bold flock.

  • They didn't realize at the time, they were driving an H-Bomb around

  • totally awesome, imagine for those times, someone showing already environmentaly friendly car :D too bad its not used. wait till oil reserves go off.

  • If all you guys had used your brain a little bit, some of you could have been millionaires by NOW, so start imagining!!

  • more impressive than this is the japanese director that invented a device that turns plastic back into oil. THAT is going to help soften the problem.

  • Jack, I want the truth!! and he'll say: "you can't handle the truth!!"

So what gives with hydrogen?? I remember seeing an old Inventors episode in 1972 with a 1970s Holden which had been converted to Hydrogen. This technology has been around since Adam was a boy...and still no dice.

  • wow they wont let the tech out to main stream............

  • wow, Newfies broke the news about hydrogen cars...

  • @akropiss Not Newfs. She has an Ottawa Valley twang.

  • .. the engine of the ceeerr.. :))

  • wow...we have not progressed at all

  • In the caaeeer lol

  • Honda was offering one for rent in Santa Monica soon, rules, not a van just a car, $600 a month, includes repairs and insurance, stay near Santa Monica at only ONE refuel station available.

  • Why didn't we stick with this? instead of fighting for oil a few years ago? now we have so much the gulf of mexico is pulluted???? jack u mayplay a psycho in films but u are a genius when it comes 2 cars! i praise you!!!!

  • lol he's coked out of his mind here

  • It's amazing how special interest and corruption has fucked our world so bad.

  • You talking like that is part of it......ha-ha!

  • @tommynicks but the CBC is still reporting it, I'm glad to say I can have faith in my national news services.

  • @tommynicks what ever happened to the car, the idea?? How come it didn't go any where and we act today like there is no alternative to oil or it is too expensive or it will take too long to develop and so we get this sense of helplessness and made to believe we have no choice.

  • Minnesota like-accent

  • @foxsux6000 Ottawa Valley.

  • I'm from the Netherlands and the English the reporters speak sounds very peculiar to me... What is this strange accent?

  • @TheVoidist Its 1970's accent...

  • @TheVoidist Canada

  • @TheVoidist Ottawa Valley.

  • Since hydrogen is so reasonably save and powerful why aren't they using it to get 747s' and other large commercial jets off the ground?

  • The care..lol

  • What a stupid idea ... 30 years ago eh! Who would ever buy it .... gas is cheap ...

  • He's high, clearly !

Still Hot as hell. Sexy voice and awesome smile <3

  • if jack would of got more stars and more time on that campaign do i need to say the rest?

  • on a side note. Nicholson is DEFINITELY on something. Probably high as shit.

  • unbelievable.... we had the means and the technology 30+ years to cut the pollution output by ourselves by over half.. probably around 75% today. Instead, politicians and lawmakers have been silenced by people who only seek to make billions from the oil industry and don't give 2 shits about anything else. They don't care about you, or me, or anything. They would rather go to the mall then stop someone else from committing suicide in their garage with a hose through the window of a running car.

  • WELCOME TO THE LAND OF THE FREE...

  • @pay2cme True North strong and free, that is.

  • Hot80s - Dont like the accent do ya Aaaa??

  • cAAArrr i hate that accent...yAAArrr fired.

Listen to Johnny back in 78 & the world would be 1000000000X greener today.

  • that lady has a sarah palin accent

  • @ledzeprocks21

Definitely NOT Sarah Palin speak. Joan Watson, the host is Canadian and speaks with an Ottawa Valley twang. I know because I went to school there.

  • Holy fuck would a rear end collision to that baby ever have been spectacular! Haha, all those hydrogen cylinders in the trunk packed together. haha, love it!

  • dumbfuck....they said that its been tweaked to not blowup

  • Can someone tell me how to Download this video? thank you.

  • @Quickfix16

    This youtube vid?

Search for youtube downloader on google!

  • i thought jack reminded me a bit of jonny knoxville there.....don't know why :/ still jack nicholson is awesome

  • jack nicholes one of the greats

  • @TheGodParticle the god particle, are we into physics?

  • Thanks @tomanyasses. I'm not into physics but i have a great Philosophy. I'm thinking if you good americans were told tomorrow that you would have to pay $1.66 per ltr you would riot and rightly so. by the way our unleaded has gone up today it's now £1.12p per ltr in the UK. cheers and god bless america, you don't know how lucky you are..

  • yes agree, your wise old country (grandfather) , we americans do have it lucky some ways. im into physics though working on 4th dimension time travel.

  • You can't drive more than 200 miles in any direction anyway. It's a friggin island! Besides the universal healthcare available more than compensates for the price of gasoline! Enough already!

  • I can't be asked to get the map out for the UK it's bad enought living here. anyway its a bit more than what you said prob around the size of florida. anyway how much is health insurance per year in the US please...

  • I remember watching a video, in 1982 - when I was in Jr high - and the video was OLD then - sorry - it was a film - not a video! LOL about a warehouse with forklifts run on Hydrogen only. in fact the narrator put a glass to the exhaust pipe, allowed the water to condense, and then drank it!

Video was probably early 70's or late 60's

and WHY have we not progressed any further?

    great question!

  • one reaosn is possible is there are like ten different ways to do things for energy and one may be chosen as to cut back costs. you can not put billions and billions into structure over the country then change it causing all investers to lose money.

  • @CTSpeed413 we all know why we just cant say it.

  • @CTSpeed413 Because, in the 70's high fuel costs where pushing a lot of the same ideas where seeing now. Then OPEC freaked and opened up the flood gates and gas got cheap again

  • @CTSpeed413 Greedy oil barons keeping the technology from expanding. We've had the technology for all these years, and yet we havent been able to find someone who can make it practical??? When the fossil fuel powered cars rocketed into development. Seems funny to me.

  • @CTSpeed413 Hydrogen has not progressed for the same reason biofuels, ethonol, and the electric car have not been widely used. Oil companies are too big to let go of their monopoly on fuel and they will do anything to keep it that way...

  • heads up hydrogen is produced by charging your car battery. look into it the technology is already in your car.

  • That's depressing. 30 years of fucking lies. WAKE MANKING !

  • 1978 WTF!!!!! What's the hold up!! WE NEED THIS NOW!!!!!!! This technology is almost ancient, yet we don't use it!!! WTF!!!!

  • her voice is funny

  • FUCK COMMERCIALS!

  • Why is is that they say they'd be able to sell it for 1/4 the price of gasoline in 1978 (when gas was not much different in price adjusted for inflation) but I just heard on Top Gear that it will be sold for roughly the SAME price?

    I smell price fixing.

  • this ladies canadian accent is real dAAArn tootin', eh? What kind of cAAAr does she drive there, I wondAAAr?

  • @ajummahair

She sounds like she's from the East Coast, I'll say Nova Scotia.

  • Fact is you can make it yourself. Gov. cant tax it so easily. Solar to make H-gas at home.

  • It's amazing what corporate lobbyist can do is right....

  • "Hydrogen currs."

  • how has this not become mainstream yet?

  • wtf is that bullshit commercial.. fuck that shit.. goddamned youfucking tube...

  • I guess Jack was right ! apparently the huge business' crushed this car... you'd think we'd be driving it all over today ! gotta love bullshit !

  • How did they ever see the beauty in those designs?

  • Douche, how do you see beauty in any of today's cars? I'd take that vehicle over any of the crappy designs churned out today.

  • Also, take a brief glimpse at how much our society has developed over the last 100+ years. We didn't accomplish all of that by hugging trees. Right or wrong, it's like the mob guys say in the movies - "Be as it may, it is what it is."

  • 30 years later and it still hasn't been implemented. Oil makes the world go round, gets "politicians" elected to office, and is why troops are sent around the world to risk their lives in a so-called war. When the ozone is completely destroyed, people can't walk outside without SPF 1000 sunblock on, and the powers that be have turned the Middle East into USA 2, the oil gods will still be on top, counting their zillions. They'll just be doing it from the moon or that space station.

  • completely agree.

I just can't beleive that we've known about this since 1978 AND STILL little has been done. In the UK, this wouldn't have ever seen the light of day. They still are pushing electric cars as being the answer.. which we all know is BS. it's a step further, but definitely not the answer. This has to change.

  • @tompegg482

"We" haven't known about it; the government has. And yet they've managed to keep it under the radar for this many years. It's amazing what corporate lobbysts can do huh?

  • @tompegg482

And amazingly enough, when I was in high school, science class made me under the impression that this technology was still "experinmental." THEY'VE managed to fool us all.

  • They joined the army. But yeh, fucking politians. why hasnt this been implemented!!!??

  • @everyone

The energy required to get that hydrogen inside those cylinders creates about twice as much CO2 as a normal car would... So yeah, the car is 100% eco friendly, Water and Oxygen are kinda limitless, to get it to start you have to burn the earth twice as fast... Apart from the fact that H is HIGHLY flammable, and VERY temperamental... To say the least... The energy of the sun is not H, it's the sunlight. Sunlight powered devices are the future. This is just an exercise in style.

  • cost about half the price of gas 0.35 cent a gallon. LOL

  • Jack Nicholson has the PERFECT Voice in American History

  • yes, he does...a very sexy voice...wish he was still young D;

  • Yea, i know

  • Lol all you hippie cunts are wrong the electric car doest work its junk lol

It Al Gore promoting his leftist agenda , FAIL lol

  • Comment removed

  • in response to "RoryLavelleRules" comment (youtube won't attach it to their comment!)

  • Go for it Jack...

    Gerry...TheGmcFilms

  • Jack Nicholson? whats he doing on our show?

    ( VERY NICE )

  • Nice Carrrrrr

  • 35c a gallon? jebus thast pricey!

  • Very impressive!

  • these scientists were given hundreds of millions of dollars by the oil companies to fuck off

  • yeah because gasoline isn't explosive.

  • Comment removed

  • H-bomb? Is that the Hilarious bomb? You sure are smart! Is the H-bomb nukuler too!! STFU

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • oh yea, so gasoline is even better?? idiot

  • Man, Jack sure had a nice "ker"! :)

  • 30 years on, and we are still just past where this tech started.

    Disgusting. Good effort anyway, Jack.

  • What is the liter per minute consumption rate of hydrogen of these cars???

How much liters per minute of hydrogen do these cars use in normal driving???

The device on my motorcycle produces over 40 liters per minute of hydrogen from water.

The device on my motorcycle also produces over 60 liters per minute of HHO gas. Is this enough hydrogen to run these cars??? Signed Norman Williams XMARINE. No joke!!!

  • Comment removed

  • But kudos to Jack and the scientist for making an effort:)

  • Producing hydrogene needs so much power, you're better off using electronic cars instead. Sure Nevada would be a great place to harvest solar power, but what about Canada og Chile? I addition, hydrogene needs to be under extremly high pressure to have an effect, thus making it more likely to be a leak at some point. And a leak of hydrogene in a moving car, lets say in the middle of a town - well you can imagine the rest...

  • So basically we're still stuck in 1978.

  • yep... so sad

  • @ManInBones1 WE are still stuck in 1900!!!

  • Jack is cool!!!!!

  • why?

  • why?

  • why?

  • what the hell happened to that car?
