I was watching the view, with the rent cast... and they were talking about how Tracie never got on broadway....only the movie....she is clearly in the broadway version as well......

@AnnaMorgann This is the final performance. Basically, Idina was in the original broadway cast and in the movie. Tracie was in the movie but not in the original cast. Idina left at some point after it premeired on broadway. When they made the movie, Idina joined up again and Tracie joined because the original Joanne thought she was too old to play the part. Tracie joined the broadway cast in time for the original performance.

@AnnaMorgann Idina was on broadway, in the OBC. This cast is not the OBC. The OBC was in the movie, with the exception of Fredi Walker (Joanne) and Daphne Ruben-Vega (Mimi), who were replaced by Tracie and Rosario in the movie. Tracie joined the Broadway cast for its last few performances.

Seasons of love was decided to open on the MOVIE! not the musical! it was just posted at the beginning for the movie, because it would be kinda silly to (in a movie) break out into a inspirational song after an entire plot has been developed (here in the musical, seasons of love splits act 1 & 2)

Hmm...I really don't think so. Anthony Rapp portrayed Mark as more of an awkward, insecure kid. Adam's character is more confident. They have two different styles. Adam does sound a lot like Anthony, though.
