Hi, you should always stretch lightly prior to exercising, but the real deeper stretching should be done when your exercise routine is done and your muscles are good and warmed up. I have a great stretching video with some suggestions on stretching routines that I do. I don't know what is specifically good for someone who has injuries such as yours. You may want to consult your doctor, or simply modify exercises to suit your range of motion.
@YouTips4U My pain in my neck is located at C5 & 7. The neck is 4/5 & 5/1. They were injuries due to car accident. I also have arthritis in my location of my back injury. I also suffer symptoms similar to but not
fibromyalgia. The involves the disc and pinch nerve. The back involves a disc problem as well. They are permanent injuries requiring pain management. Range of motion when its not cold is very good. I can do what do. I just have to avoid aggravating it.

Hi, I don't recommend doing the same exercises everyday because your muscles need rest and recovery time so that they can rebuild and get stronger. You get faster results that way. I always recommend working opposing muscles; so whichever exercises you choose, be sure you are working the opposite muscle too. How many reps you do depends on when you feel that your muscles have been worked. The fitter you become, the more you may need to do.
@britts81 Doing cardio exercises will help and I also do 2 things every day that have made my tummy flat. 1. sit ups I just do 20 everyday and it helps so much! and 2. lie on your back with your legs up to a 90 angle and then try to reach towards your toes. hope this helps!

You also need to do cardio exercise like jogging, cycling,w walking, swimming, etc. to help burn excess calories. Jogging will slim you down the fastest if you like to do that..
