Thats still a great processor....I upgraded to a 9800gtx+.....the reason? I sold my 8800GT for 90 bucks to a kid in the internet so I baught the 9800GTX+ with that an another 60 I had laying around....so it all worked out fine. An my Q6600 is now at 3.2 GHz with 1.375 voltage and 356 FSB...

Yeah will CSS only Gives me 8XMSAA max, there is no 16XMSAA in my options. I am sure that even if it was on 16XMSAA there shouldnt be to much diference with my card for in css it is only at 60% usage. I am not sure why there is no 16x MSAA, maybee ati doesnt support it. Yeah I would go for the GTX280, they own pritty hard core too, just goto have the bucks.

Anyways I happy with my performance because of my systems age is pritty decent, and as I said before you ahve a nice Gaming Rig.

I get 211.3fps average with all on highest settings @ 1680 x 1050 with 8xMSAA and HDR full.... I have opteron 180 cpu @ 2.7ghz (dual core denmark) , Radeon Palit HD4870 1GB sonic, 3GB of kingston DDR 400 @440mhz, my whole system is overclocked except the video card.... It runs fiarly well... I am Happy with 211.3fps average... I though a quad core would put out more, coz css is cpu limited im sure.... BTW man Nice rig pritty ownage, you should get another 8800GT. Sli is sexy....

Im not too sure.. A 9600GT Will definatly get you around 200+ fps......But im not sure about your processor.....Probably a good one. Your fps will be really high like 250 :D. MAYBE. Dont take my word for it

ok but i just asked, and some numbers really does matters not the name or the memory size, BUT the gpu core clock thats where the numbers really matters, a 9800GTX+ is on about 775 Mhz and thats very good so you can oc it to

guys guys guys, a 8800 gt is similar to the 9800 gt, the reason why they call it 9800 gt is because no one would buy it, and plus it costs alot more, they wanted to make business. so virtually you wouldnt see a difference between the 8800 to 9800 gt, i suggest you guys buy a 8800.dont believe me? google it and talk again

It wont really outpreform a 8800GT in CSS. Ive had a 9600GT, and I have an 8800GT. Almost no difference in framerates. Core clock and Memory are almost identical, but in games like crysis the 8800GT shuts down the 9600GT

I use to have a really bad Geforece 4400XT or something. If your video card does not support direct X 8 or above or is REALLY outdated, you should consider getting a new one or upgrading your system
