@Muppetbro1234 Just because I think it would be another very clever play on words.
Like this sketch, which is based on "Little House on the Prairie" by Laura Ingalls Wilder, they could do another one, based on "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde.
Two real life books, with the titles modified to include the name of a Sesame street character.
Was this the debut of Prairie Dawn, perhaps, hence her coming to have that name? "Me still hungry, you got maybe a bungalow?" Is there no end to the wonderful quotes on Sesame Street?
The pilot for this was actually "Upstairs Downstairs" around 1978. But lots of people claimed that "Me Claudius" came first because it didn't have the union jack opening. But I disagree with that. Upstairs Downstairs was older than Me Claudius when you compare the two of them.
How did Prairie mean? Did she not understand and say that it would be impossible, or did she know that Cookie intended for her to eat it and was refusing?
@Garrettk41: The comment has more than one meaning. Both of those statements--about it literally being impossible were it a real house or that she was refusing to eat the food house--are both meanings for the line. But so too, is subtext, but that's too risque for the kiddos and probably would be reserved for yet another inside joke between Fran Brill (Prairie Dawn) and Frank Oz/Eric Jacobson (Cookie Monster) off-set, given the banned "I Want a Monster For My Friend" skit, among other things.
can you upload "The Sound of Music!"?

Odd, when I was little, whenever I heard "Little House on the Prairie," I used to think of Prairie Dawn.

When did we see Prarie's mother? ("Mrs. Dawn"?...)

We saw her first in "Sesame Beginnings", then later in "Elmo's Potty Time".

No, Prairie Dawn has been around since the early 70s.

I think because it was impossible. Can you imagine Prairie eating the little house? That would give you indigestion.
moatguy 2 years ago
True. Though I do remember Prairie Dawn eating the letter H, so you never know.

Well that was a mistake.

I love the end of this one where Cookie Monster eats the house. I also like the closeup of the house on Prairie's head.
