This guy is a joke. A couple of MMA wins to be so cocky!!! Frank Shamrock had a great career but he ended it too early and suffered for it when he wanted back in. Frank is from an age when all-around MMA skills were just emerging. Cung Le has great stand up skills. But as an all-around MMA fighter, he isn't all the great. I would like to see Le vs Silva. Sanshou vs Chute Boxe. I believe Anderson has better stand up and his BJJ skills is far superior to Le's wrestling.

You have to dominate in skill, brains and brawn to total dominate. In this case cung may have taken some of franks advantages away. Ya know, a lot of Cung's "original" repertoire of moves is also from that obscure Vietnamese national art called "Vovinam" which, while admittedly having Shaolin influence, has many of its own signature distinctions, namely Cung's famous leg-scissors throw/grab. And in any case, while Cung participated in Sanshou primarily, his background is more rooted in Taekwondo and wrestling, so props to China and all its goodness, but that definitely isn't what completely defines his excellence.

Now in the third round frank got some good hits but thats the sport. you take some you lose some. but in general frank is bigger and taller. And that has a LOT to do in fighting. theres a big advantage having that so it could make it hard for cung.

@nerdyfred07 He had to fight smart. Ofcorse in anything you do, there's strategies. cung reacts one way and so frank could counter react which makes it a good fight. You have to dominate in skill, brains and brawn to total dominate. In this case cung may have taken some of franks advantages away. In general every fight can go either way if going for knockouts as either man has the strength to do so but according to who was doing better it was cung. more dmg more hits

But I also have an article (MMA) that says percentage wise in a study of actual fights, the larger less expieranced fighter has defeated the lighter more expieranced fighter more often. In real terms shorter could mean reach disadvantage and many other things. That subject has alot of angles?

At this level of the game, he cant afford to be swept around like this... Cung Le is a master strategist and it showed in that fight how he picked him apart
