  • Hey!!!! I don't think he's actually talking about her pink "Cadillac" is he?

  • where is the rock version of this?

  • Alright Johnny...I like this Nebraska out-take!

  • god daaaamn!! im not a huge springsteen fan, im more of a metal, death metal and all that extreme heavy metal shit fan but his nebraska album just got to me and became a favorite of mines a while ago, and ive always wanted more of the same and now i found the outtakes!

  • What a voice... with no music (or barely) and no autotune. Props to the Boss.

  • WOW......I love this!!

  • this is like hearing the early Elvis recordings....love it !

  • want to buy this song on i tunes cant find it, bummer. great song !!!

  • @snookau Did you not see the annotation on the video? Look in the video info

  • @johnny576375 - is the B side of Dancin in the Dark - this same version?

  • @smlowe574 The B Side is quite different with the band.

  • WOW, great version, I've never heard this one before, thanks for posting.

  • I never heard this before. Love it!

  • Thanks for posting... This is killer! The blues side of the boss at his best.

  • this version is haunting , i love it

  • I think Bruce's early versions of any given song are haunting!

Have you heard the original acoustic version of Thunder Road?

That's a killer too as allot of them. Adam Raised The Cain is another killer version on the Born to Run outtakes and alternative version!

  • love this version!!! prefer it over the released version

  • This is a cool version...I've never heard it, I like it!! Thanks B!

  • Takes some getting used to. Not bad, just different.

  • ***** This Rocks! Just what the Doctor ordered! Thanks!

  • this version is really weird ....

  • This version gives me chills

  • good things are worth repeating, heh lol

  • I share the feeling. I think this version has completely changed my perception of the song :S

  • Did any one notice he's had this early Elvis thing going on?

    Peace Suz

  • Sure. They call 'em both the Boss. ;)

  • Actually a lot of his stuff is influenced by the later Ramones stuff...which makes sense considering he wrote hungry heart to give to his buddy joey ramone, but both joey and bruce's producer told him to keep it and do it himself.

  • Anyone know where I can download this version? I would love to put it on my MP3 player. Thanks!

  • LOVE it! This should have gone onto Nebraska for sure.

  • Nahh. What would you replace it with? I think Nebraska was solid, and I cant' picture it any different. Bruce actually wishes (now) that he had put USA on Nebraska, but who knows? He's always got so much material.

I just wish Bruce could have put EVERYTHING he didn't finish or market on Tracks - that way I could hear it all. Where did you find this?

  • i agree. the lyrics dont fit the mood of the album, despite its creepy feeling.

  • I suppose one of the tones of the album is the personal and social backgrounds of people, so in that case this would have worked. But he had plenty of stuff to put on that record, and this didn't fit in every way. What Bruce may have been doing during this time was playing EVERYTHING he had acoustically. When he decided to go for a solo album, he threw out a bunch of stuff, and this song and others became known as "outtakes," as good as they are.

  • thanks for posting this. I've been searching for this version.

  • Fascinating.
