No it doesn't. You just saw someone else's comment on a "Strawberry Wine" video and tried to make the claim your own. It sounds nothing like Strawberry Wine.
@talktal It's similar in key and tempo. Perhaps it was influenced by Strawberry Wine, but to say that it completely rips off MBV -- I just don't hear it. I'm not even a B&S fan, so there's no bias in my opinion in saying that I disagree with your assertion.
second, i made this observation on my own a year ago, and actually if you look at who made the comment on the mbv, it's me. i know far more about music than you ever will, mongoloid. @soundenvision
amazing... back in da day, when b&s were still cool.
Seems like in the 2000's they became so..... I can't even quite put words to it. But they're early stuff was very very special.... their later stuff was, ummmm.
I suppose the best way to put it is: Their early stuff had a lack of confidence and felt very vulnerable... they're later stuff was a similar style of music, but the opposite of insecure... not necessarily arrogant, just not vulnerable... not shy.
@freezazoid I wouldn't use terms like cool, and I definitely agree that older B&S is better, but it was a natural progression.
That is, I hate emotional frauds who only sing depressing or timid songs, even when they're wildly successful and don't suffer some serious mental illness (Thom Yorke anyone?).
So while I think the band has declined to a degree, I can't even listen to musicians who aren't authentic, so I'm satisfied.
@LukeShetler : very good point. But even morrissey could continue and keep his personality along with the fame. Suppsosedly stuart was working at a church as a janitor, post b&s fame! which suggests he doesn't have to try hard to be pretentious and give an err of the eternal-lonely-boy. B&S's later stuff just wasn't as good I guess is what I'm saying. Their was a good mid era for them (legal man) which is the direction I hoped they woulda kept going in.
i have to agree. the last album or ep i bought of theirs was fold your hands child, when it first came out. for some reason their stuff after that didnt appeal to me. maybe because isobel was gone! @freezazoid
@talktal : the first b&s show in Los Angeles I got a picture of me with isobel.... my friend a few hours later accidently spilt beer on my camera! lost the photos :(

One of B+S's best tunes, no doubt. Positively infectious.
