I think that car was making 883rwhp, but the cats melted here after the first run, reducing power to about 760. I read that from the scource of the video a few years ago. A car can get by with a little less power to weight ratio than a bike because it is more areodynamic, but this one shifts kind of slow too.
@eeezymoney That is true with some cars but front engine/rwd cars tend to have trouble getting off the line because of lack of weight transfer to the drive tires. Stock car motors are tuned like dump truck engines compared to bike engines. That is the big reason they can't beat bikes. The Viper's engine is significantly larger compared to the weight of the car and driver than is the 'Busa motor, making the car more of "wheels and an engine" than the bike, but it has a low specific output.

Had a parachute assisted stop, it pulled 0-60 in 2.3 secs, 0-100 in 4.6 and 0-100 and stop again in 7.5 secs, faster than all of them. Incidentally it can do standing quarter in under 9 secs, and 187mph over the quarter.... Check it out it may take a while but you'll find the link somewhere

The ultimate gtr 720, has been clocked on numerous occasions doing 0-60 in 1.9 secs, 0-100 in 4 secs dead and topping out at 253, unfortunately you won't find it in the 0-60 or 0-100 top 10, as it's classed as a kit car and not a production car, but you can google the stats..... Thats Manny C's Viper, in was a DLM build and the car didn't make 1K hp at the wheels. More like 850-900 at most in S/C application. There's plenty of built TT Vipers that could run away from these bikes and even walk away from that N20 Busa.

Actually a stock Gen 4 Viper will hit the 200+ mark so even though the bike will get it off the line, stock for stock the Viper would outrun it due to simple air dynamics. I just like it when a car can beat a bike because its an accomplishment.

this viper has about 850 hp not 1000...a 800+ hp car will match the stock busa on roll on and there after it depends how much modification you have in bike or how much more hp the car has.
Seems doubtful that viper has 1000 hp. Hearing no problems with traction that 1000 hp would give in a third gear roll. Also I don't believe it would be taking such a harsh beating. Just my .02 cents.

In response to 69sheepdog, I have been riding sportbikes since 1992 and have seen about every kind of build. To think that a stock busa is "Close" to a Bugati is absurd, it does 192 max without a TRE mod the Bugati does 253. While you build a nice turbo busa your going to need roughly in the neighborhood of 700 hp on a Busa to hit 253 mph. I am all pro bike but the Veyron is in a class of its own.
The Bugatti achieved 253 on a special test track. Under normal circumstances it is limited to 220 mph. At 230 mph + speeds it would empty it's fuel tank in 12 minutes and tyres wouldn't last much longer. In day to day driving there is almost no public roads on earth that anyone can achieve 253 mph. Slight underlations and road irregularitys become a big problem even for car like the Veyron. Under most circumstanaces the Veyron's straight line performance would be more than covered by 1L bikes.

Oh really. 230 mph. Tell that to the guys who run the Texas and Maxton miles. It aint that easy. Routinely achieving 200+ mph on public roads is not viable. Not unless you want to be dead or locked up. Those sorts of speeds require ideal conditions, no bumps, little traffic and light winds. The only public roads in the world, where it is feasable and legal, is on some German Autobahns. The drivers know how to drive fast, keep out of fast lanes and use mirrors effective. Not in other countries

In response to 69sheepdog, I have been riding sportbikes since 1992 and have seen about every kind of build. To think that a stock busa is "Close" to a Bugati is absurd, it does 192 max without a TRE mod the Bugati does 253. While you build a nice turbo busa your going to need roughly in the neighborhood of 700 hp on a Busa to hit 253 mph. I am all pro bike but the Veyron is in a class of its own.

The Bugatti achieved 253 on a special test track. Under normal circumstances it is limited to 220 mph. At 230 mph + speeds it would empty it's fuel tank in 12 minutes and tyres wouldn't last much longer. In day to day driving there is almost no public roads on earth that anyone can achieve 253 mph. Slight underlations and road irregularitys become a big problem even for car like the Veyron. Under most circumstanaces the Veyron's straight line performance would be more than covered by 1L bikes.

Oh really. 230 mph. Tell that to the guys who run the Texas and Maxton miles. It aint that easy. Routinely achieving 200+ mph on public roads is not viable. Not unless you want to be dead or locked up. Those sorts of speeds require ideal conditions, no bumps, little traffic and light winds. The only public roads in the world, where it is feasable and legal, is on some German Autobahns. The drivers know how to drive fast, keep out of fast lanes and use mirrors effective. Not in other countries
