i will like to add that since I use Ubuntu I think Nvidia is way better for linux users. The main advantage of Nvidia over ATI are their drivers which are backward compatible and usually increase the performance of the cards periodically. that is why i will never go with ATI. My cousin purchased a 500 series like a year ago and he cant use compiz with ubuntu since ATI does not support the card drivers for linux anymore. But its a new card! So plain simple ATI sucks big time.

@flameomega1 The original is more intense than warhead, warhead is 'Optimised', which really means they did a little bit of real tweaking, discovered it wasn't possible to get sensible fps on low spec gear and then brought the draw distance back to '3 metres in front of you' There, problem solved.

@vannet Well, ati knows how to make good chips, but unfortunately nvidia knows how to write good software, and many devs these days STILL code based on nvidia hardware >:( Without going into specific benchmarks, ATI cards seem to better, on average, than nvidia cards, using unbiased software and stopping nvidia cheating with traditional cpu code running on gpu with cuda etc...
