  • Nice job Youtube. Half the videos online are now choppy, unwatchable crap thanks to your codec "updates."

Wicked awesome layout and consist even though it's in stop motion animation.

  • 0:11 Is That Talking Part Of The Song? Cause That's Pretty Good If If Isn't!

  • Very nicely done...beautiful layout. Lovin the slow speed!

  • that would suck if you had to punch tickets on a train that size

  • Good Looking Train!! Layout looks good too, Newman

  • ha chameleon nice choice

  • in n scale i presume

  • @MrHotrod68 i think its HO.

  • @TheROFLTRAINDUDE2456 - Correct, HO Scale.

  • were do you get thet engine?

  • whats the smallest curve the train can take?

  • How many cars do Superliners usually run with?

  • @ParkerLiberty - Amtrak's long distance Superliner train sets typically vary from between 6 and 14 cars per train depending on expected ridership and overall distance the specific train covers from one end terminal to the other. - CSL

  • nice what did you use for the hills

  • man nice train and nice town

  • Lovin' the vids, great job. I have 2 questions, do you know what the space between the two tracks on the main is, and do you know how the owner of the Amtrak P42 installed the ditch lights?

    Anyways, god job!

  • What were the P42's roadnumbers?

  • AMTK 55, 10, & 35.

  • Did you custom number 35? Because Walthers never made a 35.

  • Yes, AMTK 35 is a custom number utilizing decals from Microscale sheet (87-1267).

  • Cool! Did you buy an undecorated P42 and then paint it? Or how did you do all that?

  • As far as I know, the owner of the P42s started with a factory painted model. I believe he carefully wiped off the original number by letting a puddle of Walthers Solvaset rest on the numbers for a few minutes, softening the pad printed number. he then applied the Microscale decals over the location of the old number.

  • Cool!

  • So fantastically awesome! I can't believe that whole Superliner consist is composed of the new Walthers metal plated cars too! So great!

  • Are the engines dcc equiped? If so what decoder(s) did you use?

  • I believe the Athearn P42s were hard wired with Digitrax 163 six-function decoders.

  • What radius turns do the superliners work best on

  • Typically 24" or greater is the recommended operating radius for all Walthers passenger equipment.

  • Are those Walthers?

  • Yes, the double deck Superliner cars are made by Walthers.

  • Thanks, and nice vid

  • You should make more videos of this Amtrak train. Nice!!

  • HO Scale. Athearn RTR locomotives, Walthers passenger cars.

  • ho or n ?

  • I love the clip

  • This looks like the California Zephyr from the early 1990s. Only thing is the fact the train would have 3-5 MHCs and it would also have phase 3 P40DCs along with F40PHs.

  • Well try having in this order for the California Zephyr. Two (2) P42's, One Baggage Car, Transition Sleeper, two sleepers, one dining car, one lounge car, two coach cars and one coach baggage car, place the coach baggage next in between the coach and the coach @ the last. 8 cars. For the Coast Starlight Train Number 11 and 14, use 10 cars, and get the decals in placed too something is missing on those coaches.
