I was staying at South Point and the entire tournamnet was not promoted propery, if at all. No signs outside, you only saw the PBA banner if you went up the escalator up to the bowl. It was really disapointing to see such a small crowd.
@WSMDSA if you came to the world championship final, it would be packed because everybody wants to come to the live telecasts instead of the boring taped telecasts
Yeah the crowd was small, I was part of it. You can't blame the crowd themsleves. This show was not taped two months in advance. I was taped on November 5th at 10 o'clock on a Friday morning. It was the first PBA show I had been to. I got there early readyto get in line but there was no line!! I was really shocked. I was expecting it to be like all the great tv shows I has seen on ESPN but nobody showed up!
@bigjew899 i agree, theres no cheering as the ball rolls down the lane as you'd usually see. its probably because these are two guys not normally seen on THE SHOW.
@PresetMachine at least they gave each other high fives! theres a plus! i dont like it when it's so serious sometimes! and yeah the crowd..where ya'll at? lol
@misteraznpimp when norm duke finally started bowling the crowd were getting into it yelling 'DUUUUUKE!' but it sounded like about 5 people were yelling it. it think this king of bowling like set up has made it quieter cause its halved the crowd and its quieter than a golf crowd now.
Eugene McCune and Lonnie Walicek I can understand, but Michael Haugen has been on several shows. And Norm Duke...well, he's Norm Duke. Simply put, this crowd sucked and the idea of taping these shows TWO MONTHS in advance, halfway through the season is proof that the PBA doesn't know what it is doing anymore as far as TV shows go. I think it started to go south when Rob Stone started commentating.
@bigjew899 Quite the opposite, it shows the PBA is smart enough to try and survive. The PBA has been going broke for years and this is a money saving technique so they could still hold a season. It also made the events more difficult being so close together so the challenge was greater. The PBA didn't really have a choice in the matter, they had to do something or there wasn't going to be a telecast.
they should make a lion pattern

@pumazpawz I read earlier today that they're going back to a non-exempt field next year. I found that...interesting.

@jonnagilda It was on the qualifying list. Last years cheetah was different because it was done documentary style.

1:26 The 6th inning? Really, Stone? Really?
And I swear to god this is the quietest and smallest audience ever. Glad to see that the PBA is dying out I guess :/
