  • @peterlostig Go watch the original video for JJ&W!

  • I'll take Louis Prima's version any day...this band is not tight, the sound is off and Ray Preston knows how to play swing guitar underneath the rhythm much better than this guy.. a C-

  • @straycat109 Jaco Pastorious.... sure he is bassist, but that stil qualifies as a guitarist to me.

  • Wow so many different versions of this song

  • The backup singing gals are OUTFUCKINGSTANDING! BEAUTIFUL! They want to have my kids but they don't know it yet!

  • That tenor solo is absolutely amazing. This song is jazz in one of it's greatest forms!

    and those boobs are spectacular

  • that is a guitar dude. it's called a gibson les paul. one of the first types of electric guitars. it doesn't seem like a guitar because brian's god given rockin tallent

  • @originalbilldoe actualy its a gretsch. i forget exactly wat model. notice the f-holes, the thick (hollow) body. gretsch actualy makes a brian setzer signature model

  • @purestr99109 Kk, thanks. I don't play music or anything, so I don't know...

  • @originalbilldoe

  • 1 year ago this swingin XD

  • goovin' like hell !!!!!!!!!

  • i agree that brian is a GREAT guitarist, singer, and performer, but under rated? no, he isnt under rated. why is it that everyone thinks every good guitarist is under rated? people say tommy emmanuel is under rated. its not like he's played over 1,000 gigs ffs, world wide.

under rated doesnt just mean good, it means good but no one knows about them. everyone loves setzer, and if you dont, i dont care to know your musical prefrance, because it couldnt be that good.

  • HE'S SUCH A GOOD RHYTHM GUITARIST

  • He messed them up on purpose, just forfun.

  • WHOO SAXOPHONE!!!!!!!!

  • Damn straight!

  • i saw this show...brian setzer can really get a crowd moving

  • Comment removed

  • He actually messed up the lyrics during the second solo. He said, "Papa's in the ice box lookin' for a can of ale... Jill stayed up she wants to learn how to jive and wail." the lyrics are, "Papa's in the ice box lookin for a can of ale... Mama's in the backyard learnin' how to Jive and Wail."

  • I got the Second Solo for this song in Middle school choir... fun, fun, fun...

  • jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez that man can play!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE the part from 2:30 - 3:03 (the awesome solo)

  • I want to play this in jazz band, it should be simple enough for intro to jazz

  • Not all of it. It would be more of an intermediate to advanced song. The main melody is easiest, but the sax and guitar solos are pretty hard. Also, the trumpets at the end are hitting really high notes that are hard for beginners. But, nice song choice!

  • haha rite before the guitar solo: "MY TURN!"

  • COOL

  • A multi car pile-up of rock n roll, roac-a-billy, and big band swing... wonderful sound!

  • 4:05 - 4:08 - very nice boobs :-) ...

Also mr. setzer is a great guitarist

  • @pankGejt...Holy Cow! You weren't kidding!

  • i have to do this dance tommrow June 19.

  • Brian Setzer is the man..I've been to about 6 of his shows and they are just crazy fun..He puts everything into them..The man knows how to ROCK!! He is also one of the best Guitarists ever to come around. He has kept the same style since his Stray Cats Days and he keeps getting better and better.

  • i totaly agree with you.

  • guess you have never heard of louie prima? google is you friend. david lee roth did a cover,

  • Louie Prima was awesome, the original belongs to him, there are some youtube vids with him

  • Most blues/rock n roll/boogie woogie is a euphemism for sex.

"I'm like a one eyed cat peeping in a sea food store." It doesn't get anymore graphic than that.

  • I hear ya, but swing isn't about soul searching or world peace. It's all about the groove and havin' some fun.

  • wow the solo saxophone is ewsome!!!!! wowowowo .the song gives me goose bomb ..wowowo

  • This is more fun than anyone should be have all at once. lol

  • what day is ur preformance mine is the 26th of may

  • Mistakenly negged a comment about appreciating

American Music. Sorry amcelt108, I totally agree. And, with mka800. Setzer is the bomb.

  • they got another bass player

  • What happened to the "In the Mood" live video? Can no longer find it on the related links.

  • MY TURN!

    Lovely.

  • It's songs like this: cool, tough, sexy, brassy, fun and backed by real, disciplined talent, that gives us all a sense of true appreciation for modern American music in all of its various forms and for whatever generation that first produced it. Mr. Setzer, please keep the good times rolling.

  • Great rockin band...Superb performance!Crazy Cat Brian,off the leash,..beyond cool!!

  • hot babe @ 4:07

  • HOLY CRAP SHE IS!! haha..good eye!

  • Bonus points for spotting her.

  • that horn section's having too much fun. very cool!

  • Brian took guitar lessons from my stepfather, Ray Gogarty in the late 70's.

He was his prized student - totally into JAZZ!

I used to sit outside the door and listen while they jammed.

He is a truly gifted muscian who merges musical genres to create uniquely accessible music.

  • On a CD or alive, Brian Setzer and his Orchestra rules. Yeah man, they rules!!!

  • what a hot group, the trumpet section was on that night

  • When I first heard Brian's version, I didn't know it was a remake...both are great.

  • the tenor sax player is god!!!!!!!!

  • that was an alto wasn't it?

  • nope, thats a tenor

  • Yah your right

  • I always have to look twice haha, I'm a bari player and it always makes tenors look small to me

  • lol we had to play this in band. it turned out great.

  • Great!

  • anyone know who this is originally by? cuz i can't figure out

  • Louie Prima came out with Jump Jive and Wail. He's the master. He would be proud of Brian.

  • True, this is a REALLY REALLY good version of the original. He would really be proud.

  • Like I said......Louie Prima originated it. Search it on YouTube. Brian Setzer does it great!

  • jump, jive, and then you wail

you gotta jump, jive, and then you wail...

    OMG that's great... ^o^
