I've been trying to find the correct lyrics to this song for a while now, kinda frustrating, but the song is beautiful and has captivated me since I was about 10 or so. <3 It was the most listened to song on that CD, ha ha.

Une fée c'est fragile parfois" sound like a childish story about a fairy who's mischievious and malicious (which is the original idea itself but with hidden meaning), but this particular chorus alludes to spanking (i.e. sadomasochism). The song is childish enough on its own, but Mylene has constructed it in her own way to give it perverse undertones.

Okay people, here's the skinny on this song: The song was originally supposed to be sung by Madonna (not this song in particular, but a song in general) Madonna declined to sing it, so she got someone else to do it for her---Mylene Farmer.. and that was how they came to have this song on the soundtrack and the movie (the airport in Paris scene). The literal translation is "The Story of A Fairy Is..." the song comes off a innocent and childish, but it is actually filled with sexual practices.

I was in Disneyland Paris at night, overlooking the Haunted Mansion. I was waaay out of it. I heard this song on my sister's ipod, and I could picture all the ghosts coming out of their graves to sing this song. Wow.

@drybonesandboo45: Same here! I would blare it continously...my family thought I was weird, but this song was what got me interested in French culture and the language itself. Better than the music we have today---even if it is French. I cried the first time I ever heard this song...it was and still is beautiful.

The English translation you put doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Did you just slap it into a translator and call it good? I love this song, but I think I'll stick to the French lyrics. I didn't even know Mylène sang in Rugrats in Paris.I gotta find the soundtrack now. =P

@ScttN485 Yeah. In fact the song was in the movie...when the rugrats gang first arrives in the Paris airport, this song is playing in the background as they go up the escalator. This song is on the soundtrack.

i was in second grade when that movie came out, LMAO. i used to listen to this having know idea what anything meant (i used to have the soundtrack.. a lot of it is just french pop). i was a huge rugrats fanatic, it was always better than spongebob..
