@raymanuva By kiteboarding with his son he is spending time with him, not trying to force him into the lifestyle. There is a huge difference between introducing your kid to something and forcing them. If the kid didn't like it and the father still made him do it, then it would be forcing. Otherwise, there's nothing wrong with a father sharing his passion with his child. They're having fun and spending time together.
So i should take my kid windsurfing in 3 meter waves, dude open your eyes, that kid is shitting himself in that video, this is not normal. let him grow up and then decide for himself. I seriously think he endangered that poor kid not as physically but psychologically, its a lot of stress for him.
@raymanuva He's not shitting himself, he's holding on as tight as possible. If you pay attention to the end of the video, he is smiling. He obviously had fun. How in the hell does that inflict psychological damage? Do you even know anything about kids? If he was that scared, he would be crying. I don't see any look on his face that indicates fear. If he has any look on his face, it's because it's new to him, or because he's trying to hold on. If he was scared, it would be more obvious.
lol, he had such a big smile on his face at the end, I wish i had a father who did that with me at that age. Oh well i had downhill mountainbike racing when i was 12, i guess thats cool too.

i did not like to watch this and I feel sad for the kid.He is victom of his fathers fanatism.I am a kiteboarder and I love kite boarding but I am also aware of the potential risk involved with equipment, yourself. I think risking your life is something and risking other another.
@kiteklan It makes me laugh when I read comments about how dangerous kitesurfing is, from people who 'supposedly' kitesurf and the risks involved. With that opinion I don't think you know the first thing about the sport or how to do it properly.
@mlimpenny Get a life.... people wouldnt leave there bed if they avoided all potential accidents.. should kids not be aloud in boats? or planes? or on bus'es? at least his dad has control over the situation rather than walking on a pavement where a drunk driver or old person could run him over at any point.... Life's dangerous deal with it!
@mlimpenny You're right, in life there are always inherent risks of death and dismemberment, but this man deliberatly puts his child in a situation which is significantly more dangerous than taking a plane, a bus, or boat. I would like to see you get run over by a bus JUST to prove your point "life is dangerous". Allowing a 4 year old on a kite board is un-necessary.
@chris082681 I don't understand how this is dangerous? He is wearing a life vest and a helmet. People are way to overprotective of kids these days. I commend this father for letting his child get out there and experience life, and exposing him to a different activity. Anything you do with your kid besides feed and clothe them is unnecessary. The more children are exposed to, the better off they are. Too bad your kids will be poorly adjusted for the real world and afraid to try new things.
@chris082681 I'm not a dude. I'm pretty sure there are more bicycle accidents and running, climbing, and jumping accidents than from kiteboarding. You can't keep your kids from every single risk. He's doing what he can to protect his son in case something does happen. I still stand by my opinion that he is a great father for letting his son experience different things. More parents should be like him rather than keeping their kids wrapped in a bubble inside the house watching TV.
Pretty Cute!!
