  • Hi where can I buy the book you used to do the interlocking?

  • @Katrinaantonius just saw the link below the video. Thanks

  • oh wow! you did that by yourself? Impressive!

  • You and your hair is beautiful! Kudos to you for doing that on your own! Stay blessed ; )

  • @smissmurray ...Thank You

  • Your locks look beautiful. Mine are just as small but I'm having problems with bushiness. Meaning my hair is so bushy at the roots it looks like strings hanging from my scalp. My roots r so bushy that when I get them re-tightened you still cant see my scalp. I've been to 2 consultants and no1 can seem to help me or just dont want to be bothered w/ correcting my 1st consultants work. Any suggestions?

  • @virgozbest...my hair is pretty frizzy so I usually finger twist the loose hair around a lock before I latch them. Sometimes I spay them with aloe vera gel and water while latching to help keep the loose hair in the lock. Hope that helps :)

  • @shaggylocs7...Thank You!!!

  • Great video. Question for you. I recently started braidlocs myself, did you experience your braid pattern loosening up. I was wondering if I would get a strong loc in the end with the braid loosening or if I should rebraid them.

  • Thanks. I took the braids out and interlocked them so I'm not to sure.

  • Hey there!! I started tightening my locs with the same kit!! Its the best thing ever!!

Now my friends are considering doing theirs too. Some are hairdressers and want to expand their business by doing this with their own hair and clients!

  • Your locs look fantastic! How many did you start with?

  • I'm not to sure...I lost count around 200 the one time I attempted to count them.

  • Hi,

Your locs look great! I've heard of nappylocs. But just to clarify, is it true that by using the nappylocs tool, you don't have to put gel and stuff in to tighten them? Thanks.

  • Thank you...no you don't have to use any products to tighten your locks with the nappylocs tool...helps cut back on product build up :-)

  • I love the way you started your locs. I got the Business in a Box and fingerloced until I got close to my scalp and used the nappyloc tool from there.

  • wow your locs look great. interlocking is the way to go ;)

  • You are an incredibly beautiful young lady and your hair is fly! I love your locks chica. I can't wait to watch you progress on your journey. BTW I think you have a cool screen name. Take care until next time. JMW74

  • I'm real carful with them...I've been combining the ones I made a little to small.

  • Pretty

  • I did my own too and they're about a little smaller than yours. I started with a two strand twist. I had to start interlocking because my hair is so fine and creeps loose. Your hair looks great! Good job!

  • Thank you :)

  • Oh, one more question, once you trimmed the relaxed ends, did some of your locs unravel? If some did, what did you do to fix them?

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to me. Thanks so much.

  • Your welcome! I tried to avoid trimming the ones that weren't starting to lock yet so they wouldn't unravel to much. I trimmed the rest out over time...it took a few months to completely cut the relaxed ends out.

  • I wear microlocs as well, but had some slip out at the nape. Did you use the nappylocs to install your locs? Did you have help? If you didn't have help, how did you retighten the back of your head?

Btw, your locs look beautiful. It seems as though they are already starting to swell a little.(A natural course as they mature)

  • Thanks! I did start my locks with the nappylocs tool and no I didn't have any help...my sister tried one and gave up. I used a double mirror when I started them...but now to retighten the back I just tie them into small sections then pull one lock down at a time to work on...when I'm done with a section I braid it to keep it out of the way.
