As someone from Amsterdam, I apologize for the horrible parking fines the local government has! The bastards take extra fun in choosing foreigners and ruin their holidays. You're even off worse when they tow your car to someplace out of town, in the middle of nowhere, for several hundred euros more.
BTW: You must be the only one ever to have offered help to the "Parkeerbeheer".
BTW2: Apparently it does make a good pickup lines for blond dutch girls?
