...The Nazgûl were they, the Ringwraiths, the Úlairi, the Enemy's most terrible servants; darkness went with them, and they cried with the voices of death - The Silmarillion
will someone please upload the infernal eternal versions of all these marduk songs. that live album kicks arsess. but i can only find materialized in stone. not that i am saying this isn't great to. dont get me wrong ;)
@kingfreedom21 Knock it off! No one has ever been able to conclusively prove that there there was an actual christ so peddle your dillusions elsewhere.
This one track gives me a feeling of such epicness. I want to fucking stand on the blackest mountain surrounded by blood filled clouds. Striking black lightning into my enemies. Surrounded by countless demons at my side. This track makes my head bang in my sleep.
@newmessaia It's good to have Black Metal that has the old-school Thrash sound like Bathory, and Good to have bands that have the OLD-school Death Metal sound like Beherit.
Definitely my favorite Marduk album, probably because it was the first one I ever listened to. Their new shit still kicks ass, but I have a hard time calling it "black metal".
@v8tdi he is talking about the recording quality not the quality of the music. Darkthrone under a funeral moon is my favourite album of darktrhone but the sound isn't that good but its how old blackmetal should sound. it sould sound almost as you put a tape recorder in the middle when you rehearse
@idiotjaevel I think it was on Burzums first album they used the worst mic they could find and the worst amp to get that gritty and deathly sound. Turns out it worked wonders haha
The whole fucking discography of 90's is brilliant! And La grande from 2001!!
Marduk at their best! The latter after La grande are not as good as their earlier stuff. Their original drummer from Opus Nocturne left after La grande.
This blackhymn reminds me Departure from the mortals and Marduk´s early stuff is fuckin´fierce blackmetal holocaust.

4:10 onwards just suddenly reminded me of "close to a world below" by immolation.
