Nice concept on the video. Thankfully many citizens have downloaded and read enough of the bill to see the disconnect with the rhetoric. Much of Congress laughed at the idea of reading it, and so assumed no one else would bother. The dems played this issue horribly. Many are for some reform and improvement and even sane regulation, but the "act now" strongarm tactics drive people away. Heck, that doesn't even work in retail, let alone on an issue affecting our very lives.

How about simple concern about how this "solution" is being rammed down our throats? The current system *is* broken, but it didn't break overnight. It won't be fixed overnight, either. When Jimmy Carter signed The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), and the ACORN Housing Corporation (AHC) was instrumental in its passage. Congress through the CRA compelled banks and lending institutions to make loans to communities of color disregarding sound economic and risk guidelines.

In this last election, there were reports of people calling as representatives for ACORN (they might have not been with them) and told people who were voting for McCain they could vote over the phone.
