consider they already use the chip in Passports and now in credit cards

...i remember when the cash machines were introduced with the pitch we (the bank) save on overheads (employing bank tellers) and pass the savings on to you....definitely improved convenience {24/7) but this year we have cash machine charges introduced for a bank teller that does not exist. And i'm sure digital fraudsters are licking their lips with news of these new 'secure' systems planned for the public .A paper receipt is pretty hard to argue with as opposed to a digital transfer.

I'm with Barclays Bank - They issued me with these 'freedom' cards a few months ago after I lost my old ones. I rang them up the next day to say I didn't want them because of the security risks (anyone with a hand RFID scanner bought from ebay can read your card by being near it) my bank's response was TOUGH! Thank you Barclays. Without cash we have no facility for anonymous transactions. Anonymity is our right.
