  • I remember Connie was sneaking around with another singer (Bobby Vee,Bobby Darin or someone)and her father caught her,it was in some seedy Times Sq.hotel,Hotel Plymouth I think, and her father was pissed,I was staying in a room with some chick, they were making a lot of noise, her daddy looked connected.

  • @ricksmiff It was Bobby Darin, apparently she regrets never having married him. And her father ran him off with a shotgun at the end. :P

  • i used to sorry but then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • @GamingFurious Frankly, this comment makes no sense whatsoever.

  • When I was was around 18 years old, about her age,my friend and I were very lucky to spend about 15 minutes visiting with her in the lobby of the Casino nite club in Westport ,Ma.while her father was discussing business with the manager of the club.We went there to buy tickets for a show and there she was in the lobby. it was a real high for me because she was an established star at that time. She was very friendly and chatted with us as if we were old friends.I never forgot that moment.

  • well who is sorry now? I said to my wide as I showed her my winning lottery ticket....

  • We don't care at all about how old you are. You're not a hero just because you're "so young but still listening to this". Just enjoy the damn music, how difficult is it?

  • A Bizarre Collection Of Puzzles by The Enigma

  • No air brush, just total babe material...oh yeah and a good voice.

  • She's a total fox....I would have loved the chance for her to make me one sorry fan....

  • A 50 year old song with 2 million hits. That's tells ya just how good this stuff is. Timeless classic

  • One of my Dad favourite which I was bought up on and still love her to this day.

  • For a 14 year old you should not be on here along with your foul mouth, disrespectful self. Go to bed child.

  • @LadyV1960

  • @frogman360 may you mind your language please

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX Damn, sorry bout that. I have a hard time watching my fucking mouth on the goddamn internet. Sorry bout that...shit.

  • how fortunate were those of us who enjoyed these amazing artists

whilst they were still with us? I'm just an old christian who sings mostly lovely hymns now

  • Great record!

    Danny

  • Wow. Quite a contrast between the two top comments.

  • @nursegaby music today is sooo cheap and no emotion to it. for the most part. its quite sad what people actually pay money for..

  • Thanks for the music

  • My favorite Connie Frances song. Thanks for posting it.

  • @rennyshelton How could you choose just one? She never recorded anything I didn't like, unlike many other singers, and that's saying a lot since she was the most recorded female singer in the world. Sigh.

  • I congratulate Forreyglo, for his comments and his age.

I am 66 and I think that Connie had a voice to get in love with when listening to

    Tremendous hit, better memory !!

Thx for ing it --pvt !!

  • Dick Clark, "American Bandstand" Icon said that "Connie Francis" has a

Voice that "Cries" when She Sings.

I Hear that "Cry" in Her Beautiful Voice.

  • @jettvallon ***************************************

****************don't no if this statement is really very PC***** Plus hope you don't mind me mentioning eeeeerrrrrrmmmmmmmm....... well.!!.. I no God works in mysterious ways and all that, but ,! tearing pieces of shit apart probably ain't really his thing... cant say i recall any animals by that name maybe you should keep your second wish 4 a brain thats been educated. violence and racisum dont make anything better... your just as bad...

  • Me too love all this 50's and 60's songs. Tanks for posting.

  • I am 62 and totally love this song! The 50's & 60's music is the best!

  • Childhood memories relived & wow !!! Is she Great !!!! Just Wonderful 2 hear her again !!!

  • Why dont we have talent like this now? :C

I was born in the wrong generation...

  • I think this song marked the start of Connie Francis' career as a great singer. She had previously recorded some songs only to be rejected by the public those days. We could not have seen or heard her had she not released "Who's Sorry Now" back in the 50s. I am 36 but I recognize how marvelous she is/was. Thanks for posting this clip.

  • It's called talent!

  • im 21, I was born with this kind of song. because my older sister is very addicted with this typical of song. so it just like listen to this song bringing back my memories. memories of childhood. when all the kid were never play ps3 nor xbox 360 like nowadays. when you talk with people directly and not use a facebook or skype to chat. miss those days. :'(

  • worldclass :D

  • I remember when this came out and it still has the same effect on me. It has to be one of the greatest songs and singers of all time.

Absolutely beautiful on both counts! Five stars, at least!

  • Class! Withoutout a doubt x

  • this is music wow

  • she looks like anne bancroft

  • i found out about this song because of a skate video (flip, sorry) beautiful song

  • well, I'm 16 but i like this song =p

  • All Connie fans please vote for this wonderful singer.njhalloffame 2012 nominee

  • Im 14 and listening to this. I was born in the wrong era

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX ....hey you were probably there in another life............im a teen of the 60s so a little before my time too but i sang this in many a karioke bar.............love it..............enjoy kiddo these songs were great

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX How were you introduced to this kind of music? I thought 14 year old listen to Justin Bieber. I'm curious.

  • @htnguyen32 I can not stand the modern music me and my dad have always been classic lovers. Such as frank Sinatra and Connie Francis

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX SAME HERE!!

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX -- just be glad for YouTube! Those of us who WERE born in the right era turn here for solace when the radio makes us cry for the WRONG reasons.

  • @sonyahannah amen. i love my 50's.

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX Honey, you're likely just back for an Encore. So, enjoy again.

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX You should be happy you are born in a time where you have such a long history of great music behind you, and have access to something like YouTube so you can find what you like beyond what's played in the radio and music videos.

  • @LauraSomeOtherNumber no im not happy, when i look outside i see a bunch of losers dressing like monkeys roaming the streets listening to retarded sounds that they call music, what a joke. Oh, how i wish i was born during any other century other then this shitty one!

  • @CuTiExPiEXOX bless your heart, you're a very special kid! I was blessed to learn all about music older than myself in Los Angeles growing up and hearing the days-long production called The History of Rock & Roll produced by a local radio station there. Humble Harve. I make a point of learning all I can about all music from everywhere and every era, even vids on YT of old Biblical music discovered in ancient documents!!

  • @GrannyTenderstone and bless you too. You are a very interesting person and I love how you take interest in every era

  • Never say your sorry ,sign of weakness

  • @215jami you stupid silly baby person ,mac

  • @MrMACSWAG You really need to learn how to compose a sentence, you lack a verbal context.

  • Respond to this video... great

  • @215jami Kindness isn't weakness. Apologising and meaning it is accepting responsibility for your actions and having the balls to say it, that is strength. What you should really be saying is 'Never do anything you'll be sorry for'.

  • Connie has been nominated for the New Jersey Hall of Fame. Please go to their website( nj hall of fame . org) and vote for her.

  • she was a peice of ass wont she mmm mmm mmm.

  • And so am I ancient. This girl was a fanticy to me when I was young. I am 84 now and hearing her sing on U Tube still warms the kockles of my heart. Not only was she a great singer but her interpretation of a song still has not been matched. If you don't believe this just play her version of MAMA and then play it by someone else.

  • @forreyglo I love her too, but Doris Day is a contender! LOL

  • @forreyglo the kockles of your heart? lol , that's wonderful! There's singers on utube that warm my kockles too. I grew up listening to Connie and she has a place in my musical heart as well. God bless.

  • @forreyglo I have 2 agree with this wise man, It's not because these song's are the favourites of my father. Not because I heard the song's growing up. I am 33, very young. Something about Connie's Voice, Definitely something in her soul. WOW. I wish, I had the experience of growing up with this amazing, beautiful talent. You realize, who the Greats are, as you get a little wiser. It touches your heart, What a voice, greatest female singer. Thought it was Karen Carpenter, very close. BEAUTIFULL

  • OMG, brings back memories! My grandparents use to listen to her music all the time. This is ancient!

  • Better than I remembered, sweet heartache.

  • I would agree about jodefillppo's comments

  • So sad that people are exchanging words like that on such on the video of such a timeless and beautiful song...I still won't let that stop me from enjoying this song.

  • @tmd1026 yeah mate don't listen to this people and enjoy it buddy

  • had the pleasure ofseeing and meeting her up close at a uso show down in carolinas...met all us Marines after the show and talked and posed for pics...a class act she is, i tell everyone that she a great woman, down to earth person, no ego whatsoever with her !

  • Some people are SO ignorant and unable to use the English langauge due to a poor education and or a bad upbringing- do something with your life.no one needs to swear to explain what they mean. Who do you think you are impressing? You are are just showing what you are - A PEASANT!

  • @reginaldwalterdavid2 Very Well Put!!!!!

  • @reginaldwalterdavid2 You are correct in accusing people for using poor English. However, it was rather arrogant to call him a peasant. It is not shameful to lack wealth, as long as you live honestly. Moreover, poverty and a poor education do not always go hand-in-hand. Many great people of history grew up in very real poverty.

  • "This song was requested for me to upload"! Appalling English, even for an American.

  • I believe, but don't quote me, was her first big hit record, or one of them. One hit followed another. She was a great nightclub perfomer besides making records. She also appeared on Bandstand in Philly, and was at the regulars of Bandstand reunion party.

  • A truly incredible vocalist ! I had the pleasure of meeting her with the release of "Who's Sorry Now"--I have the autographed 45 and a kiss on the cheek-since I was the only male present at the time--I believe I was 12--or 13 yrs old at the time. It was either Woolworth's or McCrory's in Newark, NJ. What a wonderful memory, and she is a SUPERSTAR !

  • top tune, heard she was a right se* person in her day !

  • When I hear this music I long to live and grow up in those days. We have no talent or morals left today. ahh what happened? <3

  • Amazing woman

  • This was her signature song in my mind. It is timeless, and classic.

  • thank you

  • Sounds like Patsy Cline!

  • u sorry now francis, huh?? are u sorry francis??

  • such of mafia song.. :P

  • Are we really getting uglier or what? Why everything was used to be more beautiful?

  • I am a pro singer and connie has been my inspiration since i was 4 years old.. thank you Connie... janey kirk.. hope fully readers can join me on face book?... ..janey kirk

  • ... and then there are singer's like Britney Spears, who sounds like a dying goat :(

  • Most Beautiful Voice... We miss you Connie!

  • what a beautiful song this is

  • What do Connie Francis, Fiona Apple the singer, Fran Dresher "the nanny" and Kellie McGillis of top gun have in common? All were raped by negros.

  • is it me ..or does this song sound like a song that a serial killer would put on for the victim before killing their victim...lol i would if my man cheated on me...lol j/k!!!!!!! but love the song though!!!

  • I love her!

  • My dads buddy was married to her for a while. I heard my dad telling me some stories and youtubed her. Despite the stories she was very talented

  • She´s trying to sound like Patsy Cline and (of course) fails... Pretty good anyway.

  • @bappek ...no, she never tried to sound like Patsy or anyone else...she was unique and wonderful...one of the best female singers ever. After being viciously attacked and brutally raped in her hotel room while touring, she had a very hard time and her career suffered tremendously. She underwent many years of therapy as a result of that incident. Constance Francanero (her real name) was such a wonder. Hers is a tragic story, but her music was, is, and always will be awesome.

  • @bappek Connie was famous before Patsy. Patsy was known as the Connie Francis of country. So, if anything, it is th eother way around. Patsy also sang some of Connie's songs.

  • @Shrinksjp Im sure you are correct. But the thing is, they do sound similar, and Patsy is way better, don´t you agree?

  • @bappek No, I think Connie is one of the greatest pop singers eveer. Clear notes, extremely versatile (pop, rock, country, ethnic, stadards, jazz all with great ease). Patsy is one of the greatest country singers, but Connie's versatility and clarity is without peer, as well as her charisma in live performances. Have you ever heard her Cole porter Medley, The Ballgame Medley, Born Free, and Impossie Dream, Brother Can You Spare A Dime, I Will Wait For You, all definitive & all on youtube.

  • @Shrinksjp Love Is Where You Find It, The sound of Silence, and I can go on and on. She is one of the few singers who actually sound better in person than in the studio.

  • @bappek Connie recorded this in 1957, long before anyone outside of Nashville ever heard of Patsy Cline. This song hit number 4 on Billboard in early 1958 and number 1 in Great Britain shortly thereafter. Patsy did not cross over to pop success until the early 1960's. Both, however, are great singers and interpreters of song. However, absolutely no one possesses the sheer versatility of Connie Francis to sound so good in so many song genres: country, pop, r & r, ethnic, and languages .

  • Greatest female singer of all time. I love her voice

  • Greatest female singer of all time.

  • Until Diana Ross went solo, no female artist sold more records then Connie Francis. You can hear why.

  • Connie's songs are fantastic especially the ones when she sings in two different keys then blends them together! I believe Billy Vaughn and his band backed a lot of her songs. I still enjoy listening to her songs and they take me back to my younger days!

  • This would be awesome in a revenge flick.

  • Beautiful Voice- Today's singers cannot hold a candle to this voice and these lyrics. Rap is trash compared to this

  • @jodefilippo Rap is trash compared to anything!! Kids' nursery rhymes included!!

  • @jodefilippo theres good music made at all times dont let your timeccentric (made it up) keep you from great music.there are 6 billion people in the world right now so there got to be atleast a 100 new bands i bet youd love that youve never heard of.Im 27 and now is the best time for music i can go back a hundred years and listen to soooooooooo much and more new and innovative stuff coming out everyday..just dont listen to your radio or tv and expect anything good..the day of the DJ is dead

  • @jodefilippo this song has absolutely no substance

  • @aldster28 Quite like yourself wee one.

  • @aldster28 You are deaf my friend.

  • during the early eighties i gave up going out with someone who are they looking like her ......now still by myself whoes sorry now

  • Connie was singing a few years before this song was released. Her earlier stuff is rare her first single she released was in 1955.

  • Timeless charm.

  • It was Francis's first song in 1958.

  • When was this released? Early 1950s?

  • @TimothyGeorgeHare It was introduced on 1/1/58

  • I'm 17 and listening to this

  • @Ahmedleo27 I'm 14 and you're old.

  • @Ahmedleo27 oh by the way go to war with China or with us, your pick. Curbstomp inc

  • @Ahmedleo27 SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP. GODDAMN. I DON'T FUCKING CARE THAT YOU ARE A CERTAIN AGE AND STILL LIKE THIS MUSIC.

  • @Ahmedleo27 Cool I'm only 29 and I love all this stuff. Great that you are so young and love this too. Though I will admit I only got into Connie about 9-10 years ago when I saw The Craft.

  • @Ahmedleo27

We were born in the wrong time my friend ;-)
