I'm not sure if it's a (strange) coincidence or if is there a subliminal cry for help from MJ here. But for all of you that probably do not know this, "Little Susie" is street slang for "heroin"... and we all know that he was dependant on strong opiates, wich later caused his death.

Also, Michael wrote the song for a small girl who was killed in the 1980's.  She had suffered abuse and neglect. The other L.S. video linked to this one tells the story in the description. While the story is true. The girl died briefly & medical staff restarted her heart with a needle to her heart and again w/paddles. She was injured when her Pee Wee coach a man who had been in & out of jail a lot beat her nearly to death. Her adoptive father went back & found the man & beat him up. But nothing could be proven to police. So family said it was a hit & run driver. The girl was a quadriplegic after the attack w/other injuries. But with help she recovered. She was abused too.

The Ballet part was visually striking. Could've gone the whole video using just that. The true story of "Little Suzie" is that she did indeed die. She was murdered in a vacant house that the city wouldnt pay to tear down. If only they had, maybe Little Suzie would have made it to that party. These vacancies still exist, everywhere. Suzies was burned down by an angry mob with something to say and justice on their heads.

The inspiration behind the song came from an artist - Gottfried Helnwein. Michael admired his work, he had purchased some of his paintings. One of them, "Beautiful Victim", inspired the song. Helnwein also paints about the human condition depicting wounded children. Michael was apparently very touched by his work. There appears to be a similarity between the "Beautiful Victim" painting and the artwork included for the song in HIStory.
