dan50XLT, how much does your car put down to the wheels? My setup is going to be about the same in a red 93 notch im swapping over.. trying to see what im going to be dealing with
@fullrearview yea i was surprised with 348 the only difference is i have the trickflow r manifold and a tune other than that same thing and i know that manifold and tune will do a difference so i know he didnt make 415 thats supercharged power
Ya that would do it. Im new to mustangs just this year, but I know about basic performance and have been researching that set up. 348 is good bro....got any vid or pics?
@fullrearview i havent been able to take any vids of it but i will have some up real soon i have a race lined up against my buddys 351 coupe it should be a good run
@fullrearview i havent been able to take any vids of it but i will have some up real soon i have a race lined up against my buddys 351 coupe it should be a good run im just waiting on him to finish his setup
@94STANG562 you also have a 94. from 93, the 5.0s had hypereutectic and not forged like in previus years. that makes a diffence in power and likely explains why his car has 415hp and yours only has 348. he is likely also running more boost than you are, just another thing to think about.
do you have any idea why your car's idle wanders when you let it idle? i have the same cam in mine, and it will not keep a steady idle. the vaccum also jumps between 15 and 20, but occasionally steadies. would running speed density cause this problem?
It surges sometimes on initial startup. I haven't tuned it yet, I've just loaded the Lightning MAF curve and set the injector sizes with the TwEECer. Still a lot of work to do to get it perfect. I think running speed density would give you a choppier idle, since the computer has no idea how much air is actually coming in... it's just assuming it's the standard air charge with the HO cam.
I had massive drams with my 90mm maf and 4" intake... couldnt get it perfect. So i gave up went back to the 74mm and 3" intake. How much gain do you think is in upgrading the maf? cheers Mate
I'm gonna be doing basically the same thing to mine, except GT40 heads instead of P's. Just curious as to how much of a difference your setup made over stock? I've heard of ppl running 11.9 to 13.8. So I have no idea how mine is going to turn out.
It gets sideways in third gear at 50 mph. I don't think there's much of a difference between Ps and straight up GT40s. It's a low 12 second ride, put down 390 to the wheels last fall.
I just now noticed you have a Paxton Novi 1000. How did it run before the supercharger with the gt40p setup? Or did you install everything together at the same time?
sounds nice man

running speed density is exactly your problem, your car is surging and like
dan50XLT said your computer has no clue how much air is coming in so you'll either need to get a custom chip made or convert it to mass air.

Did you upgrade the valve springs? what rockers are you running?

Yes, it's got the crane cams spring kit. I'm using the stock rockers, pushrods, and lifters.
