I started following the Pistons when they became contenders and I was a die hard fan by the time they made the Finals in '88. By this series, they were the kings of Detroit, I was a high school freshman and I was glued to the TV.

I remember saying "Who the heck is this girl? You'd think they'd want a big name for Game 1 of the Finals." when they announced who was singing as her 1st CD hadn't been released yet.

I don't think people asked "Who the heck is this girl?" anymore after this.
