Ok people let's be clear on this. If the truck was in the building or near the building when it caught on fire it would have received mechanical damage. Anything plastic would have been ruined and all grease and oil would have been ruined. Because of the high heat of it the strength of all of the metal would have been compromised too. These trucks have aluminum blocks and heads that will warp in that kind of heat.

@GerDrSeltsam it was a fire that lasted 21 hours in my home town, the building was pulled down by back hoes so they could better get to the fire inside after a part of it collapsed. The fire department had help from other departments near by as well is what I have been told by family that still live there. There are tons of pictures on facebook of the entire 21 hours if you go to 730CKDM

The truck has a 5.0L motor in it. It was up in the air on a hoist, and the building collapsed onto it from the fire. When it was all said and done the vehicle was literally sitting on the rubble. The key was still in the ignition, and the firemen took the jaws of life to the door in order to get it to open. It was quite the site to see!!
