Love the picks, got myself an ever growing playlist of these yacht rock tunes. Is it me or does Mike Mcdonald look like Caleb Followill in that last picture? Anyway pretty sure I know the TV theme you are after, will rack my brain a little more!
OMG...This is the best mix ever. I swear that I love all those songs when I was a kid on a long rode trip. I like the "Escape Song aka Pina Colada" They don't make music like this anymore but it is fun to reminisce.
10cc song use to give me the willies when I was a kid then I learn to appreciate the song. I had bad dreams about King Kong and that song. Crazy!!
(Love the vid) I just found number 11 for ya. How about Kenny Loggins - Heart to Heart. I know Kenny is at 10 but "Heart to Heart" is addictive and the words are a little confusing to sing when your blastin it during rush gridlock.
You have superb taste. You must live far from your grocery store...I live two blocks from mine...gotta love SF. Also got love 10cc. Yay! Would've put the Chicago song"If you leave me now"...instead of "Saturday" through and through you got a great list.
ohhhhh "One Day At A Time" ....that one was sung by a woman, and it went "this is it!" and that's all i remember. maybe the melody's the same? i dunno. lemme do some research. thanks for the tip!
my ears are bleeding, brought back strange memories of my child hood in the 70's I was so glad to find new wave n punk. thanks for puttin this up,,, now to get to the er lol
whilst i agree punk/new wave was far superior in musicality, you HAVE to have a soft spot for these cheesy songs. they bring back such weird memories!
Ya, perhaps you should consider the fact that whether or not punk and new wave are " far superior" is highly subjective ... I enjoy "easy listening" music - always have. So, I would consider it far superior to punk and new wave music. BTW are you British? Just wondering, because you used the word "whilst".
i would love to be the person in the car over from u at a stop light, awkwardly staring at you why you are talking into your steering wheel....hahaha and u in the grocery store "..they look the same, they're both.. white..." ahahaha
Reminds me of the Bosom Buddies theme song.

was that the theme song from the show with Valerie Bertinelli? The one with Schneider, the handyman guy? I think that might be it.

Track 1, 4, 7, 8 & 9, right on Man !!!
Chicago's song reminds me "Back On The Road" by EW&F with a great Steve Lukather's solo at the end.
For me Kenny Loggins = "Heart To Heart", awesome song !!!
What's up Steve !!! :-)
