The Speaker in your video is wrong, the greatest injustice of our time that you have posted no videos about is all the cuts to social programs that the Tea Party has proposed. The proposed cutting of 1.3 Billion from Health Centers that Don't provide Abortion, the proposed cuts to medicare, medicaid and social security. The taking away of safety nets for those that have paid into Medicare and Social Security. That's the injusted. The Tea Party has sentenced low-income adults to death! INJUSTICE!
Do not believe this person's lies. Not only do people like this poster want to Defund Planned Parenthood, but they want to take 1.3 Billion away from the Federally Qualified Health Centers that this person is talking about.
To the Pro-Lifers, at least go to your congress members and tell them you don't want 1.3 Billion cut from the Federally Qualified Health Centers, otherwise you are not Pro-Life, you are Pro-Birth because you could care less once the baby is born or about the mom.
As far as I can tell, most anti-abortion people will fight to the death to protect the rights of fetuses (who, by the way, don't have the "rights" of a living person), but as soon as the kid is born, he's on his own. You and the other Catholic zealots don't get the right to call yourselves "pro-life". And don't bother to trash me with phony statistics. I have no plans to read them.
As a pro-choicer that admired your show, this video is making me reconsider that position.
I don't think you know what Planned Parenthood actually does. Their main function is education, STD and cancer screenings, and provide contraceptives. These doctors are the some of the only doctors that the poor are able to see. The abortions performed are paid by the patient, not the tax payer.
@chibicat13 Thank you for the honesty of your comment. I'm aware of the non-abortion services Planned Parenthood does and I'm not fighting those. But they also perform over 25% of the nations abortions. If they stop doing abortions and lobbying for pro-abortion laws, then I will stop fighting them. As far as who's paying for the abortions, former PP employees have testified that all the money goes into one pot. PP has not offered any evidence to the contrary.
But if funding to PP stopped, low income women wont have access to prenatal care. Sure PP performs abortions, but thanks to their other services, less abortions occur. Even if PP stopped providing abortions, women are just going to get the procedure done somewhere else, it's not going to go away.
When I think about it, the defunding of PP is going to lead to MORE abortions then there where before...
@chibicat13 PP would love you to believe they are the only place to access free or low cost healthcare, but that is absolutely false. Nearly 7,000 Federally Qualified Health Centers in the U.S. provide comprehensive health care for men, women and children, instead of the narrow spectrum of care offered by Planned Parenthood. FQHCs are able to provide annual exams, STD testing, all birth control methods and everything else PP provides – except abortion.
@LifeReport Please tell the Teaparty that 1.3 Billion doesn't need to be cut from these Federally Qualified Health Centers. Tell them to take the 1.3 Billion they want to cut from the oil company or bank subsidies, tell the teaparty to cut 1.3 Billion from the military instead. If you truly do care about your fellow men and women after they're born, please make sure there is some kind of access to low-income health care. Also you should oppose the cuts to medicare and social security.

Just found out that the abortion rate of PP is actually 3%. So I don't think denying people access to free cancer screenings and prenatal care should be based on that small number. Even if if the number was higher, limiting the number of abortion clinics won't change anything, women will go somewhere else, a utopia will not happen. If you are desperate to stop a pregnancy, then women will do desperate things, even at the risk of their health.
@chibicat13 According to former PP employees, the 3% statistic is misleading because PP unbundles its services when reporting them. Last year, Planned Parenthood saw 3 million clients and performed 324,008 abortions—at least one in 10 Planned Parenthood clients receives an abortion. As Abby Johnson, ex-PP director and employee of eight years has shared, they push for abortions above anything else because it’s the most profitable part of their business. PP does VERY little prenatal care too.
Getting rid of abortions would be a horrific idea. First of all, the central nervous system takes a while to develop, so the embryo wouldn't feel any pain. Also, abortion could only concievably be ok if the embryo was seen as more important than the mother, which it surely can't be. Also, to take away a woman's rights like that is horrible. For example, if a woman was raped, and the baby would be a constant reminder of her ordeal, then keeping it would cause more pain than it would diminish.
Religion is for retards. I don't think anyone that lives without a religion is effected by this inane video. Fund Planned Parenting so idiots that only know what they were TOLD (not read on their own --1/100 christians actually read the bible, you are all sheep) about jesus can get scientific information so they don't have to bring a child into their life which is supported by a $50 a day job.
Why in the world are there people who think that abortion is atrocious, violent homicide, when they don't think that capital punishment or soldiers who have killed others is atrocious?
Sometimes, there are very valid reasons for abortion. And, give me the proof that it is done violently.
@jambasweetie A simple google search will reveal the violent details of what an abortion does to an unborn child. If killing a living human being by sucking her body into pieces or dismembering her piece by piece isn't violent, then I don't know what is.
@jambasweetie Soldiers kill to defend their country. Why should someone who ended the life of another prematurely get to go on living theirs(this is different from what soldiers do)? Why should they get to sit in a cell and live out their lives when they have done something so atrocious. There are videos of babies being cut out of their mother's womb piece by piece. Why do you think that this is okay but not capital punishment?
This video is very one sided. I use PP for basic gynecological needs. I am like many Americans, without health insurance and I like many women I know, I depend on PP for my yearly pap testing, breast exams, birth control etc. I don't think this is a fair amendment, which like so many are "all or nothing" when it comes to giving aid to programs in need. I agree with nursecharliegirl1, PP does and can provide good basic service to those who need it.
@amytshuster There are nearly 7,000 Federally Qualified Health Centers scattered throughout the country that provide even more free assistance to underprivileged people than Planned Parenthood does, and they don't kill babies. So even if one day all Planned Parenthood clinics closed their doors, there would be plenty of places for people to continue getting their taxpayer funded contraception.
@LifeReport Hello, Probirther, I am respnding to this comment because I got all happy and excited and felt a big sigh of relief when you told me about the 7000 health centers other than PP. So I looked it up and found the Community Health Centers of Ohio and discovered there is one in the city I live in, bigger sigh of relief. And then I read URGENT ACTION:That the House Republicans want to cut 1.3 Billion to these centers, you people truly are Pro-Birth cause you aren't Pro-Life.
@LifeReport So, I hope when you went to bed you slept well in your comfortable bed, in your comfortable house that was more than a basement apartment that leaks. I hope that your God has blessed you to not have to worry if you're going to have to worry about not having health care.
I however have to because if the Defunding PP bill passes and this 1.3 Billion cut to Health Centers happens, I won't have any access to gynecological care, what preformatted answer do you have for that?
@LifeReport Now, I'm really worried, I found out that my Pro-Birther governor also wants to cut state funding to the Community Health Centers of Ohio also as part of budget cuts. I'm really not going to have gynecological care. If you support the Federal Cut to Health Centers, because it's YOUR MONEY and you don't want to be CHRISTIAN and take care of those that aren't as financially blessed as you are, then don't call yourself Pro-Life, you are Pro-Birth, you only care about a baby being born.
I'm tired of the "one sided" tact. It's false. Pro-life people take in all sides, scrutinize them all, and then throw out those things that don't stand up to scrutiny. That's what an intellectual does. Planned Parenthood is real one sided voice. Go and watch all of their videos, they try to make it sound like they are the only one who offers other services to women. That is a lie. P.P. is an abortion seller first. They DONT do breast cancer screenings, they do referrals. Liars.
People who provide "good basic service" don't enable pimps, hookers, and rapists to keep doing their deeds.
Good service requires honesty. P.P. lies to young girls about when the human heart starts beating or they try to indoctrinate some kind of "heart tones" euphemism. You call it a D&C instead of what it is. You call it "products of conception" instead of an aborted human. Your ignorant agenda depends on keeping women ignorant about the prenatal development of humans.
There's this thing called the internet that aids in debunking people like you and Joy Behar and Cecile Richards. What an ignorant sham the abortion industry is. How about you acknowledge the federal health centers that provide all of the care you are talking about. The only people who think this video is "one sided" are those who want people to behave like herd animals.
Google search “vimeo Biology of Prenatal Development” and educate yourself on reality. Reality is one sided.
This video is full of misinformation. Comparing those who are pro-choice to the Nazi regime and slave owners is misleading and wrong. While PP does receive federal funding, NONE of the federal funds are used for abortions or to terminate a pregnancy. PP provides many good services, including counseling, STD scans/treatments, and several other good things that many people would otherwise be unable to get. Whatever happened to the separation of church and state?
@ProPPCatholic This video doesn't compare pro-choice people to Nazis. It compares PP abortion facilities with concentration camps. That's because Planned Parenthood has tainted the good services it does with the blood of 300,000+ babies a year. There are nearly 7,000 Federally Qualified Health Centers scattered throughout the country that provide even more free assistance to underprivileged people, and they don't kill babies. As a Catholic person, won't you agree it's better to not kill babies?
@ProPPCatholic As for federal funds, my tax dollars pay for the electricity that powers the suction machines that tear babies bodies apart in PP clinics every day. My tax dollars pay the salaries of the clinic workers who were willing to aid and abet the sex trafficking of children.
As for separation of church and state, I am not against PP because of religion. I'm against PP because they kill babies.
It doesn't explain exactly what the Pence amendment will do. I don't agree with abortion unless it is an extreme case; however, I think Planned Parenthood provides a good service with its counseling on STDs and other sexual issues, and the offer of birth control to millions of teens and young people to avoid the need for having an abortion. Does the Pence amendment just limit the action of performing abortions, or does it shut PP down all together. .
@nursecharliegirl Good question. The Pence Amendment would take federal tax dollars away from PP as a whole, which is about 1/3 of their budget. There are nearly 7,000 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) scattered throughout the country that provide even more free assistance to underprivileged people. Planned Parenthood only has 800 clinics nationally and may turn people away if they can’t pay. If PP stopped killing hundreds of thousands of babies, I would stop trying to defund them.
@LifeReport "There are nearly 7,000 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) scattered throughout the country that provide even more free assistance to underprivileged people."
There won't be if the budget proposal with a 1.3 Billion dollar tax cut is passed. This will be a lie by 2012 watch.
