@Mrt9ta9 It was laying eggs every three days (instead of everyday) it was getting older so its time had come. Chickens, unlike pigs and other smart animals, have no real idea of what is coming so they dont try to run or anything. Call fate or the food chain, but know that nothing goes to waste her. If you think this is bad you should check out how chickens are treated in the US.

You will look at a roster in the store quite different from now on, no? Not too different from a Pheasant, though we do kill, clean and cook them in a much different way...... When I was much younger than you we prepared hens for market: as you no doubt remember from the telling we killed them in different way. The result is the same. Great video.
