  • Who it sing? :)

  • this is really funny. in a good way of course

  • i love this version

  • Nice song :D

    Just a quick question :)

Can a person who speaks Mandarin fully understand one who speaks Cantonese? And the other way around? :D

  • @vintani No, they can't understand each other at all. They can write to each other though, as the writing would be nearly the same. But the spoken language is too different, they wouldn't be able to understand.

  • @vintani nope.. unless you know both mando and canto. However, the written script (chinese) is the same for both..and all dialects.

  • @vintani The way it was explained to me when I first started learning Chinese was that a Cantonese speaking person and a Mandarin speaking person could read the same newspaper but would not understand one another in conversation.

  • @DisneyDarcy Okay cool! :D

  • Muses: Don’t have any disappointments We know how much you want love

    Meg: I can’t I don’t want I don’t want to I won’t say

Muses: Really? Really, then why are you going?

Meg: Who would’ve thought? I’ve already fallen in love with him

  • can someone write the lyrics please?

  • When she says "bu leng gao" does that mean "I can't understand" ?

and does "lei yi ku gan" mean...something like "I'm all cried out"? I think that's what it means but I can't be sure

  • DUDE! SOUNDS LIKE A RAP! XDD

    <333

  • i personally prefer the canto one, because it sounds more blunt, like a real FIERCE meg! :)

sounds too much like a girly old woman here, lol.

    CANTO FTW

  • Bu nan, bu ye sounds welly cool when she sings it xD

  • So damn cute.

  • @voksvictor you do know Jap isn't slang? Its a horrible thing to call a japanese person

  • latin spanish version owns this one

  • i think the cantonese version is better

  • The bits I understand don't carry the original meaning. I actually prefer the english to this. :C

  • 有人知道是誰唱的嗎?

  • This version is sweet and funny.

  • Im mandarin but i think that cantonese is suited for this song cuz its too quick.. mandarin is perfect for slow r&b songs though :D

  • 我喜欢!!! 挺好听的!!!

    。。。对不对? 我是美国人。。。 我说中文说的不流利:)

  • @aretha1111 哈,我是中国人,中文没你说的好。

  • This uses the same key as the Icelandic version. the little statueus dont sound as harmonic like this. The japanese one is better

  • i started to learn chinese one year ago at school, but i don't understand anything. :(

  • @isabellalovescookies don't worry it a hard lang.it takes time (alot of time) i'ms still learning too. ^^

Meg: Ugh, what is my problem? Why can’t I control my feelings?

Meg: Out of no where I got this feeling, With no control I lost direction No man is worth the danger There is no way to tame the hurt

Muses: No more pretending He’s the heaven of your dreams No more hiding Let your feelings out

    Meg: No I can’t

  • i think it sounds better without the video.

  • yay

  • Really good ^^

  • 非常好! ♥

  • It sounds like it goes faster for some reason... It's probably just my imagination though >3>

  • Imma learn this one after the song Reflection *from Mulan* x3

  • This is the lyrics of the song and the romanization (pinyin)

wǒ dào dǐ yǒu shé me máo bìng

wǒ zěn me hái kòng zhì bù liǎo gǎn qíng ne?

bǎi bān sī xù, yǒng shàng wǒ xīn tián。

shī qù zhǔ zhāng, luàn le fāng xiàng。

wèi nán rén bù gù shēng mìng wéi xiǎn,

zhè tòng kǔ de jiào xun wú lì chéng shòu

    .....???

bù néng, bù yuàn, wǒ bù xiǎng, wǒ bù shuō。

    ....???

  • duō me mí wǎng

wǒ yǐ jīng, ài shàng tā

nà xīn dǐ shēn qíng, zǎo yǐ àn dàn。

zài huí shǒu, mǎn xīn yòu qí dài。

qián chén wǎng shì zài duì wǒ nà hǎn,

wǒ xīn qī liáng wú nài, lèi yǐ kū gàn。

    Greetings from México

    Enjoy it

  • Does anyone know the singer's name??? : ) It's cute = >

  • I this one. It's fun~ Owo

  • 真好听!!!

  • Do you have "Go the Distance" in Mandarin?

  • wooow so cool version <3

  • what's the chinese name?

  • (I'd assume, but I'm not sure...) Wo bu shou Wo shi ai

    Again, I don't know- I'm a 1st year Chinese student :P

  • Lol "Wo bu shuo wo shi ai" is "I won't say I AM love".

In this song though the line "I won't say I'm in love" is translated to various verses that may not translate that to English at all. It was translated to "I've already fallen in love with him" like twice.

  • someone can post the romanized (pinyin) lyrics? please

  • whaaa!! so nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • (8)....bu neng, bu yang, wo bu shao wo bu shou...(8)

tell me if thats wrong, i can't figure out what the shao bit is

  • It's probably xiao, not shao.

In this context it means smile.

  • 不能, 不要, 不想, 不说

  • It's bu xiang, instead of shao

  • This version is rocks! :D

  • cantonese is better o,O"

  • i love this mandarin song and not weird... ^^

  • Meg is great

  • glad to know that Meg in Chinese is still as sassy as always.

  • Very sweet voice. Clear pronunciation. Only problem is the lip sync is just a tad bit off. Otherwise a fun video to listen to.

  • same here

  • Do someone knows how to talk mandarin ? I want to learn that language please tell me!!

  • go find a class, but i warn you it is a difficult language to learn, it will take time, i have never fully learned it. lol

  • The grammar is pretty easy, just the writing system is a tax on memory and the pronounciation takes time.

  • lol this is elfie's friend!!!! the pronounciation is easy!! *giggles* that song is funny in chinese!!!!!!! oh and lol traditional writing is cooler!!! though its harder...but i think its easier to memorize tbh

  • It's pretty much like what Elfie said: Find a class. She's also right about it being hard to learn. The pronunciations are hard, and Mandarin is my second language. =x

  • It's great that you want to learn Mandarin! I'm Chinese-American myself, and I'm currently learning it, though my parents say I speak like a toddler XD

But like what the other 2 said, take classes. Perhaps you can find it at a community college where you live?

  • i noe。i can help u

  • hot! lol

  • If you play this and the English version in synch, you will see that this version is actually a lot faster. The Mandarin one starts to go ahead and by the end it's like a whole 2-3 seconds faster. Not entirely sure why.

  • it's just cuz of the different languages. they can't sync up because there are naturally more syllables 2 certain words that the English doesn't.

  • No that's not it. The song's beat simply plays faster. No matter how many syllables, if they fit into the beat of the song logically they should still be the same pace.

  • very good... although not as powerful as some... this is still good~!!!^^

  • Canto is..alot better. Take a look at that.

  • Does anyone have the lyrics for this in pinyin? ^^;

  • very good adaptation but very bad translation

  • If anyone knows, could I get the lyrics to this song?

  • Hm... I understand Mandarin... however I do not like this version as much... more because there are a few points where the lyric is ironic. For example the first time the "I won't say I'm in love." In Mandarin version it said "Oh I understand all too clearly that I'm in love."

To me that's a bit of a translation failure. I know how hard it is to translated AND trying to fit the song, but the lyric here at some points are simply the opposite of what it is supposed to say and meant.

  • LOL, you are SPOT on.

  • hi i'm learning chinese and well i kinda want to learn this song so do you know any places to get the lyrics i've searched but i can't find them

  • Meg sounds SOOO cute!!! XD

  • I love this language, its one of the best

  • i yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hen ke shiaaaooooo this is hilarious XD cus im chinese

  • me too

wei shen me hen ke siao?

  • favourites so far, Danish, Japanese, Mandarin versions, they seem to fit.

  • Mandarin is Chinese

  • also an awesome citrus fruit

  • Hahaha,I know that, but it was a language this time so I got confused...

  • It is a form of the WONDERFUL Chinese Language.

  • there's no language called chinese as there's no 'indian' language or 'american' language... it's either mandarin or cantonese that use chinese characters in writing

  • this song is sung by Taiwanese actresses.

  • i like the voices of the muses. XP

  • A little fast, and the voices are a little less strong, but it's good nonetheless.

  • Meg's voice, is alright, but the Muses dont work at all.

  • see zero to hero in mandarin dude they fuckin rocked it out there

  • oddly enough, your right. they did!

  • I prefer the Cantonese version's translations. This version seems a little too fast, and the voice suits Megara less.

  • I like the cantonese version better.. hm.. maybe because it sounds more like the english one? the english is awesome though ahaha

  • i'm chinese and this is a good song but it just sounds weird to me in Chinese lol

  • um mandarian is chinese so china and any country that speaks chinese which is basically taiwan china

  • tnxx ^^

  • hahah im sry harmelen. you=MONDO DUMBASS lol

  • I like the muses' voices... But something felt wrong with Meg's... But it was good :)

  • dang, this'd be SO AWESOME if it weren't rushed =(. nonetheless, i like it a lot =)

  • i think they are singining a little bit too fast...faster than the music....but i like it :)

  • the girl's voice is gorgeous.

    loving this version.

  • divertidisima. its so funny

  • Beutiful;D, the actor sounds alot like the one in the japanese version:P

  • Urg... they made everything too fast, for even a fluent mandarin speaker like me to understand, with all the overlapping voices and all.. but, it's still good. ^_^

  • this is...not good xD i'm mandarin and i really don't like this

  • cantonese is better

  • the cantonese version sucks actually.

  • the cantonese version sounds crunchy... i like this better.

  • I like the cantonese version, cuz Karen Mok's voice is SUITS MEG SO MUCH!

Mandarin Chinese female voice actresses always has soft, high pitched voices and I don't think that suited Megara.

  • Hercules- I won't say I'm in love (Hungarian) - It is the BEST !!!

  • not the best

  • They are trying to cram in all the words, so the Muses are singing really fast.....

  • i need the lyrics of this song in mandarin, where can i find it?? i try to make it myself but i am missing some words

  • im chinese, i have to say they did quite a good job of translating it

  • japanese version of this is better :3

  • Btw can anyone type out the dialogue? XD

  • Lol my Chinese is quite bad and cant understand a lot of the poetic language when sung, but damn Meg does sound cute. XD

  • it was good considering but i think it sounds better with the whole gospel thing goin on

  • Well, yeah, but considering how God blessed difficult it is to translate that Gospel feel into other languages, much less an Asian language... XD

  • i understand a few because i study in a chinese school...

  • Anyone think the muses sound a little fast? XD

Otherwise, it's another beautiful version of the song. :D

  • i luv this version

  • i do too

    it fits her

  • A little high for Meg but makes her sound cute 8D;

  • i love this version! Meg's voice is cute!

  • please educate a stupid american: can native chinese speakers understand what they're singing? There's music notes, so there's no intonations! I speak a little chinese but have to guess what they're singing. Do you guys ever have to look at a lyrics sheet to figure out what they're saying?

  • well. I can understand the lyrics quite well.

In Chinese songs, the context is enough to understand what its saying, and the tone is not that important. But sometimes you do have to look at the lyrics to make sure.

  • yes, we can understand most of the lyrics just listening to the songs. The context is very important and you need to be very familiar with commonly used phrases and slangs too.

  • sounds great in mandarin...lol, but the voice has some problems. XD like the lyrics tho. Japanese version and english version are the best tho.
