Very good, objective review. I really liked the fact that you didn't have us drink the "Blackberry Kool Aid" by hyping the Curve too much.

The fact that you critiqued it and told us about the "warts" (signal strength, no 3G, limited HTML browsing features, etc.) gave tremendous credibility to your review.

6.5??? Phonedog raved about this phone. The only real draw back was no 3G but the UMA service picks up where that lacks. Outside of the Bold, this is the way to go. A 6.5 really??!!??

I really love the look of the Balckberry and the iPhone but I can not matter how hard I try, justify the expense of a really good mobile phone. Due to the fact I never really go anywhere I don't have the need for a mobile. I currently have a cheap mobile and have had a £10 credit in ti now for about 7 months. I would love a Blackberry and maybe one day if I become a bit more mobile I will get one. Awesome review mate.

I myself don't have an IPhone, but I know from testing it at kiosks it is very intuitive and media-friendly. Unfortunately I couldn't test out the IPhones browser, so I can't comment on it, I have the BBC8900, and I personally love it, (previously owning standard phones of Sony Eric. Z200, Motorola Krazr and Razr v9/2)

It is my first smart phone and boy is it smart in comparison to my previous dialling mini media phones, lol. My gripe with the Razr/Krazr were the proprietary USB headset jacks,Now I can use MY own headphones (Skull candy).

I have to disagree on the 6.5 score, but everyone is entitled to their opinion as they have their own preferences. I like the media player, the video capabilities via streaming are sensible,

but overall really nice if you download/convert YouTube videos, even ones that aren't in HD the conversion in the provided BB software leaves it nice, clean and crisp; aided by the resolution.

My music player is just fine, I had an IPod and couldnt live with the under par audio, even with equalizer settings, so I stuck with my 8 year old 512mb Creative Zen and my new BB8900s Media Player (and if you use Audio Boost its fine,

even with volume at a safe minimal).

The browsing experience is fine for me, zooming in and out is a synch and even while it hasnt multi-touch pinch technology you can customize it with column view or scrolling/zooming to which ever you want to view. I love my camera,..and the BB app world,

No, he is using a remote from his camcorder to zoom in with the camera while not losing image quality, which would happend with iMovie.

I don't really want or need a Blackberry, and even if I did, the T-Mobile signal in my area is rubbish. If I go into my local supermarket, I get a 'No Service' notice on my mobile phone. That's how bad it is.

Nice review video... your new camera seems to be working out nicely for you. I own the 8900 Curve w/T-Mobile right now and it does sort of disappoint with the lack of 3G service, but I will say that if you are in WiFi areas at your work and home like I am it will ease that burden. Plus it has UMA calling capability that lets you make phone calls over WiFi with T-Mobile's Hotspot @home service for $10 a month extra on your rate plan which is nice.

The Curve is okay, but if you're with T-Mobile, definitely go with the G1.

The storm is overrated. The screen isn't that good. The Curve 8900 has the best screen a Blackberry's ever had yet. And I prefer the qwerty keyboard. I actually think it it's better than the Bold except for the fact that it doesn't have 3g, but that's probably cause it's on T-mobile. I hope I helped. :]
