  • je suis enchantee de vous voir

  • very touching story!

    Yanina is awesome!

  • she speak english,french and dutch

  • i think it was french and then flemish. it's not german. but Flemish would make sense because she is from Belgium :)

    i think her being able to speak 3 languages and so proficiently is awesome!

  • it's Flemish, but she probably also speaks German since it's one of Belgiums three national languages next to Flemish/Dutch and French

  • it's not German, it's Flemish... like a sublanguage of Dutch spoken in the Falnders region(Belgium), though she probably also speaks German since it's also a one of Belgium's three national languages next to Flemish/Dutch and French

  • french

  • was that french and german? anyone please.

  • French and Dutch (Nederlands). Both official languages in Belgium (German also, hehe), but she pulls it off very good...

  • it's almost as if the media are testing her to see how she answers the questions...she seems extremely bored as I'm sure she's answered these questions so many times already.. . I'm assuming the third language is her native flemish.. yanina w. & caroline w. should be playing in the u.s open final against each other not in the semi final

  • i belgium you have four languages to learn (dutch, german, french and english)

    Only in the flemish part of belgium.

  • well, actually every1 in Flandres can speak 3 languages, because of the different languages in Belguim

    On topic: Go yanina :D

  • THAT'S BELGIUM 100%. Kim can do that too btw. In fact, two of those three languages are two of our three official languages (German is the third one). As for English; most of us get that as the third language at high school. But this isn't about our knowledge about languages is it? Yamina; you're a great athelete and I'm sure you'll get to that top 10 one day...; maybe even more..., :-)

  • 3 languages in Belgium is the average

  • That is very normal in Belgium. We have 3 official languages and people from the dutch part have to learn languages because nobody speaks ours;

  • She's really cool, and a great player.

  • she´s amazing!

  • ::OO:O:O:O:O!

    inceible!!!!!!!!!

  • She is amazing in tennis and languages, but what is really amazing is what she has accomplished at a young age after losing her mother. Her father seems to be a great example as well. I hope her success continues.

  • I hope she wins the Open...her or Wozniacki

  • Three languages and fluently too!

    Wow!

  • What so special about it?Flemings are able to speak 2,3,4 languages :) . final us open :) Wickmayer vs Clijster

  • that's because we have a french part in belgium ;)

  • Amazing - she reels off 3 languages fluently, plus switching in mid-question - with a slight change of expression & attitude in each language! Go Yanina!
