  • @LosLurvos You have me confused with Oprah.

  • @gr8bluesgtr Thanks, your videos are much appreciated. Too bad your lessons can't provide musical "talent" I could certainly use it! ;-) Cheers from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (home of Bluesfest)

  • It's funny how many people buy a pedal and claim to have THE SRV sound. Here you are, with just a Fender Junior (right ?) and you nail it....I love this sound !!!! And great playing, like you do in all of your video's. Makes me wanna buy a strat again.

  • Sorry He is playing in A flat.

  • He is tuned down a half step.

  • A little bit od Albert King in there... eh...?!

  • Very very good lesson, thanks

  • There are lots of blues style lessons on YT some are good and some are not. this is the best i have seen so far by a long way, If he lived around the corner i would have him as a tutor.

Blues broken down to it`s bare bones that sounds great and easy to learn from..Exellent..Thanks..!

  • I know Stevie was influenced by Albert, but sounded more like SRV than Albert King.

  • lots and lots of albert king for sure.

  • im gettin an electric guitar on thursday and i cant wait!!!! this is what im gonna learn

  • gona take you a long ass time to be able to play like that

  • That's what the lessons are for :-)

  • @jaysticles do you still play?

  • can you please tell me what the chord you played at 4:09 please?

  • what gauge are your strings?

  • i asked him, and he said he uses size 11.

  • awesome!

  • where can i find this jam track?

  • I have a free backing tracks download page at StevieSnacks (dot) com where you'll find this track.

  • Great lesson, love the guitar too, especially the neck.

  • good job!

  • My word, this is amazing. I feel like I've just stumbed on a gold mine!

  • nice one. easy to grasp

  • Best "SRV" style demo I've seen .. great phrasing and sound.

  • ohhh... so it's that.. easy! Thats absolutely awsome. You really make that look simple. You've given me a new goal to shoot for. Thanks Alot.

  • hi anthony,i would just like to thank you for these lessons here on youtube they have helped me so much.all the best for 2009.thanks again. dave.

  • haha, i like the part around 4:30..

great job man, you've got all the essentials here, perfect for people trying to get started

  • you resurrected [along with listening to SRV] my love to strats. playing an LP and no cash, i blame you for my bad mood :P

  • You've probably answered this elsewhere, but what gauge strings are you using to get that great tone? Thanks again.

  • GHS boomers 11's

  • Wow. You've put a lot of work into this. People like me learn so much from you. Great job as always! Thanks so much!

  • that was delightful, Anthony!! :)

  • You sir, are one of my guitar hero's. :D I love your playing style. :D RIP Stevie.

  • Good solo, nice work.

I've always tried to get that slide sound you get at 3:31, how exactly is that done...

    thanks

  • Place your index, middle and ring fingersover the D G B and E strings, press down at about the 15th fret or higher, strike as if you were going to play just a bar across all the strings but as soon as you pick the bottom strings ,slide your hand fast down the neck but keep the pressure on the frets the whole way down. Careful not to cut yourself on the fret edges :)

  • thanks man, I appreciate it. all three fingers on top of eachother for extra pressure, or sequentially?

  • Just lay them down side by side.

  • srv...yee hooo... nice sound..he mite be usin a tube screamer.?

  • It would be great to hear some clean blues from that blues jr.

  • awesome tone!

  • As always I am amazed by your sound.Kind of funny how a relatively cheap modern amp produces "the" sound so many are searching for!! Nice collection of licks also thx for posting 5/5

  • lol, if im not wrong it's a blues junior...and it's not that cheap...lol....the amp is realli gd though...haha...but most imptly, the tone is in his hands man...haha

  • I just paid 549 for my NOS Blues Junior. For an all tube amp it's relatively cheap. I tried a Peavy all tube that sounded like crap. You cant compare this to a $200 solid state amp that claims it's 100 watts and has those fake sounding amp models. I paid 1200 bucks for my cyber twin se and this little amp sounds better.

  • That's what I am trying to say here: 549 isn't that much for an all tube amp. I know sound comes from your fingers and playingstyle also of course, but it still is an amazingf sounding amp.

  • Hi Anthony, I just bought the same amp. I love it. Is yours stock? There a lot of little mods that can be done but I think it sounds great stock. The Jenson speaker sounds good to me. I may swap out the tubes though. Great lessons. So glad a stumbled upon them.

  • yea same, i was settled on a blues jr. but when i was given the choice between the tweed edition vs the regular, anthony's enthusiasm for the tweed pushed me to get the tweed. and i love it so

  • I wasnt real crazy about the tweed till I got it home and set it on an amp stand in my music room. I'm very pleased. It looks and sounds great. My reverb sounds a bit funny though. If you pluck a muted string you can hear an audible doink from the reverb at the top end of the note. My cybertwin doesnt do that. It's not that audible when playing but if your playing a slow blues solo you can hear it.

  • Ive learned the advanced shuffle solo, it helped my playing a bit. thanks a lot. im looking forward to learning this one as well.

  • gleat lesson

  • Great job and thanks

  • by far the best lessons on the net...

  • great lesson thanks antony

  • Thanks for everything!

  • What kinda pedals are you using here?

  • No Pedals, volume set at 12, master volume set somewhere reasonable. Everything else maxed, except reverb on 0

  • first view awesome
