After all these years of owning the series this relates to, I just noticed box 4 and box 5 were never included.... I was hoping for some more ideas on using those two boxes... bummer
@gr8bluesgtr Thanks, your videos are much appreciated. Too bad your lessons can't provide musical "talent" I could certainly use it! ;-) Cheers from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (home of Bluesfest)
It's funny how many people buy a pedal and claim to have THE SRV sound. Here you are, with just a Fender Junior (right ?) and you nail it....I love this sound !!!! And great playing, like you do in all of your video's. Makes me wanna buy a strat again.
please help me.where i can get soundtracks ? i want improvise, but i cant find anywhere only drums,or bass sounds.if you know what i mean.sorry for bad English speak. If you know where i can get soundtrack like that, please reply me. :)
There are lots of blues style lessons on YT some are good and some are not. this is the best i have seen so far by a long way, If he lived around the corner i would have him as a tutor.
Blues broken down to it`s bare bones that sounds great and easy to learn from..Exellent..Thanks..!
Place your index, middle and ring fingersover the D G B and E strings, press down at about the 15th fret or higher, strike as if you were going to play just a bar across all the strings but as soon as you pick the bottom strings ,slide your hand fast down the neck but keep the pressure on the frets the whole way down. Careful not to cut yourself on the fret edges :)
As always I am amazed by your sound.Kind of funny how a relatively cheap modern amp produces "the" sound so many are searching for!! Nice collection of licks also thx for posting 5/5
lol, if im not wrong it's a blues junior...and it's not that cheap...lol....the amp is realli gd though...haha...but most imptly, the tone is in his hands man...haha
I just paid 549 for my NOS Blues Junior. For an all tube amp it's relatively cheap. I tried a Peavy all tube that sounded like crap. You cant compare this to a $200 solid state amp that claims it's 100 watts and has those fake sounding amp models. I paid 1200 bucks for my cyber twin se and this little amp sounds better.
That's what I am trying to say here: 549 isn't that much for an all tube amp. I know sound comes from your fingers and playingstyle also of course, but it still is an amazingf sounding amp.
Hi Anthony, I just bought the same amp. I love it. Is yours stock? There a lot of little mods that can be done but I think it sounds great stock. The Jenson speaker sounds good to me. I may swap out the tubes though. Great lessons. So glad a stumbled upon them.
yea same, i was settled on a blues jr. but when i was given the choice between the tweed edition vs the regular, anthony's enthusiasm for the tweed pushed me to get the tweed. and i love it so
I wasnt real crazy about the tweed till I got it home and set it on an amp stand in my music room. I'm very pleased. It looks and sounds great. My reverb sounds a bit funny though. If you pluck a muted string you can hear an audible doink from the reverb at the top end of the note. My cybertwin doesnt do that. It's not that audible when playing but if your playing a slow blues solo you can hear it.
