Great Bench. This is exactly what I was looking for. I cannot however get my head around the the mechanics of the scissor jack system that you built. I cannot see it under the bench clearly from the video. Is there any way you can clarify this? What other parts did you use (apart from the 2" steel tubing, bycicle parts)? A side shot video may clarify this. I saw a good modification for this bench. The bench had 2 more scissor jacks on the bottom rack to lift the whole bench onto wheels.
Thanks. I did use a jointer to flatten the faces of the yellow pine. I made the top by gluing only 5 boards together at one time. I made 5 of these sub assemblies, then glued those together to form the top. It's much easier to glue up a few boards at a time.
Nice idea! Looks like it could a be nice kitchen cutting table too!
