I love this show. I don't think anyone can really make a good opinion on something unless they give an anime a chance of like 5 episodes. Episode summaries and wikis really don't do anime justice on some shows and don't have enough words to describe it. It's like the old saying "It's easier to understand if you see it for yourself". I do admit that it took me 3 weeks after it aired to give it a chance since i thought the same thing.

@avatarfreaks102 I am right there with you. I cried for the entire duration of the episode on several watch-throughs. And when I listen to this piece, it just smacks me around some more. Just listen to 4:00. I don't think I can get through that part without tears. Just picturing homura sobbing in madoka's arms... shit, man.

@Pantalaimonish I don't want to sound like I'm trolling but here goes.....let's just say that the whole thing felt like a super-dark-and-gritty seinen show passing itself off as a magical girl show. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against seinen per se but it just felt too forced for me. I don't want to elaborate on my dislike, since I had ran into arguments with fanboys over it and I don't want to waste my energy over that.

Ah, Yuki Kajiura. I love her music, and I love these tracks, even though I dislike the show. Although....this track feels a lot more suited for an emotional love-making scene.....*dodges tomatoes and fists* no really, I'm serious. It's more on the "emotional" and "pathos" aspect than the lovemaking itself, which this piece conveys so well.
