I know what you guys are saying. This does sound a bit too much like metalcore and all that new shit. But that is really not the genre i love or endorse. This particular riff sounded good to me and I put it up online. But I totally understand those of you who think this is metalcore. Does kinda sound like it. There is a brand of strings called slinky heavy top skinny bottom. Or something like that. I dont remember exactly. Its really good for drop tuning/shredding because the low strings are heavy gauge so you can do triplets etc easily and bottom strings are really good for shredding because its low gauge. Cheers

I suck at tuning myself, never quite got the hang of it. But really dude buy one of those tuner with metronome, it'll be your best friend in due time. My setup is pretty simple, Line 6 spider 2 with my own custom setting, and my jackson V. My recommendation would be to just buy any of line 6 amps man. They are the best in my opinion, and you can download presets online, so you can pretty much replicate any kind of sound you like. Cheers bro. Keep it METAL
