Thanks for the response. I watched his rail barge operation video, and it seems like a very interesting idea. I may consider incorporating an elevator somehow because I can see how it would be easy to drop the barge with the rolling stock rolling around if you don't have a steady hand.
As a beginner, I still don't know much about realistic operations. I guess I need to do some more research.
Thanks for the input. That's very useful information!
Funny you should bring this book up two days after I bought it! I'm going to do my benchworking similar to his, I think, but because my room is small (10ft x11ft with a closet in the way), I'd really like your opinion on how I should construct a "double decker" free standing benchwork and how to construct a helix to pass between the levels. Of all your videos, you don't have anything about your helix setup. :) Thanks!
@tcwright100: If your oom is that small how about go with a barge or float and transfer cars from one level to the other. See youtube videos by markdance63 - Operating the Columbia & Western RR - I thnk this is a great idea for operations. You can also have 2 or more floats and swap them out. The helix vidoe will be later still need to finish the loop befor I post it. It's the secton I'm working on now in the latest videos. Also see Model Railroad Hobiest MRH on the net for Helix info.
@RRboyLEGOboy: Dead stop, I will not start out there tell after Jan or Feb. No heat and it is cold. We have the new Baby so trains our set to the back burner for a few months. I will upload so new videos etc. but some are old ones that were never posted and others are just quick video reviews.
Nice one Eric, thought the hair cut, shave and contact make over between books was funny as hell. Keep the vids coming, nice tip on the batteries also.
Once again, great job and thanks for the product info!! I always look forward to yours and "thebige61" s videos! Have your ever thought about doing a take on Miller Engineerings Experimental kit's and or Light Kits?
@warbonet65: That video is in the Bank. I have a Wonder Bread sign and the A&W sign will be out next month or so. 1 sign I like the other sign I do not like and you will see why. Stay Tuned...
also Happy New Years Bro.

@rpm750: I was looking a little scruffy. So we did a new and improved look. But, I will be back to my same old scruffy self.
P.S. The weather is cool so I will be working more on the Baja than the layout...
